It’s so nice to find a boutique that caters to size XL and up. The clothing selection is super-​cute, and the pricing is very reasonable. I was honestly surprised to find such great prices in here. I was expecting $ 70 on this cute sweatshirt, but it was only $ 30 instead! W00t! Beautiful clothing, dresses, jeans, shirts, and accessories like jewlery. Parking was a bit of a challenge (I’m not very good with parallel parking on a busy street), but it’s worth it for such a body-​positive experience. I’m so glad to have found this place.
A must-​visit for anyone who is fed up with most clothing stores and their selection of clothes that are just a size or two too small.

This small boutique has a great selection of lovely pieces. Owner Karen and her husband are always happy to help or just to chat. Also, unlike a lot of plus size stores, this one goes down to a size 12 — helpful for those of us who are somewhat in between size ranges.
They also have a loyalty program with a generous reward offer ($ 50 back once you’ve spent $ 450).

I am so happy that Your Big Sister’s Closet exists! There are a shamefully small number of places that fashion-​conscious plus sized women can shop at in Toronto so places like YBSC are an oasis in the desert for someone like me. I visited the store yesterday (definitely not my first time shopping there) and although my budget allowed for the purchase of only one item, Karen and Peter made me feel very special. They give such individual attention including Karen picking out pieces she thinks I might like and making suggestions. It’s almost like having a free personal shopper as an added bonus! The selection is great, but even better, shopping at Your Big Sister’s Closet feels like I’m part of a community. You really can’t help but start chatting with other shoppers in the store. I just wish I lived closer!

I live in the neighborhood and I was ecstatic to see this place open up. I’ve been in a few times and done some serious damage on my credit cards. So many fashion forward choices. Fun, unique, well made clothes. Karen and her lovely man are spectacular everytime I come in. I had a problem with one dress I bought and when I returned it, she provided me an exchange without issue. The replacement dress worked out very well and I receive alot of compliments on it. Some of the sizing runs a bit small, but so what… I just buy a bigger size… who cares. Only once did I fall in love with a piece that even the largest size didn’t fit. Well my ego took a hit on that one… and still bought the darned thing anyway!

Yay for Your Big Sister’s Closet (YBSC)… The search for a boutique that focuses on fashion-​forward plus size women’s clothing is over!
For years, I have been limited to Old Navy ($), Reitman’s ($$) and Additionelle ($$ to $$$)… slim pickins’ and the quality is not always there, or I save my money and do most of my shopping on my yearly trips to San Fran. My research for a new place to shop in Toronto took me to YBSC located in the trendy Junction strip.
YBSC recently opened — around the Christmas holidays, so it’s still brand spanking new. They carry a variety of clothes sized 14+ that will please a more fashionable crowd, as well as accessories and shoes. The boutique is bright, spacious and well organized. It would be nice to have more than 2 change rooms tho, but then again, that would give me more time to browse ;)
I tried a few items on my first visit and I came away with a spiffy coral blazer that I recently wore. I had to send YBSC a message to thank them, cuz I had never received so many compliments from random strangers in my life!
The staff consists of the owner/​curator, Karen, and her husband, Peter. Eventhough Karen wasn’t in while I was shopping, Peter was very helpful and attentive to everyone. All the ladies that were there were all smiles, happy with their new clothes and the great service is a bonus.
The prices are comparable to Additionelle, but the quality is top notch and are more on trend — these are pieces that will last a long time. I will definitely be back!
