Egged on by all the stories written up about this place online, and on the hunt for some unique tables and chairs, I stopped by this place. The proprietor does not have any set hours; in fact when I called him and told him that I would pop by in the evening at a particular time he said«no problem!!! I’ll be there past sundown.»(that was totally a spaghetti Western type thing to say) He asked me what I was looking for, I told him and he told me that he didn’t have a lot of stock right now and he was working on a lot of custom furniture pieces. Not deterred, I decided to stop by anyway. The store is a mishmash of old furniture and knick knacks, pieces of wood, and a workshop. As he had specified, he did not have a lot of stock in — but there were lots of really interesting old pieces everywhere… and a random cat. The air was also thick with sawdust — as he had warned me, he was indeed working on some furniture. I would be curious to visit again when he has more back in stock again, as I think there is a lot of character. If you have allergies though, beware!
