Sells more than just bongs, pipes, papers, etc. Good selection of incense and home décor(wooden statues, masks, furniture). There are other similar shops, but I really like the staff here — they’re always friendly and helpful.

BFF needed to get ring-sized so we called up and asked if they could help us out. They were super stoned on the phone and also in person, but it was fine cause they were laughing and joking whilst still being professional. The girl working knew her stock well and was really great in helping us out. We even ended up buying cute matching rings — they were so cheap, only $ 16 each and the sales lady shined them up for us. They carry other accessories, as well as incense, necklaces, paraphernalia, and all manner of hippie things.

Ahhh the smell of incense when you walk in… that heady earthy aroma. The amount and variety of their pipes and how some honestly look like something you would want to display than use is pretty amazing There are a lot of other items in here — decorative home type of things, hand crafted artwork/sculptures. At first glance looking into the store you probably wouldn’t notice they even have pipes b/c the home décor items seem to take center stage As you can suspect the store and staff lend to a laid back, chilled vibe… must be all the fumes :)

This place is great. Love the vibe. Staff are very chill. Location is good, too. When a place has been open this long you know it’s worth going to.

I’ve been to every other head/hemp/smoke shop in Toronto, but this was the only one that I would recommend. Forget about a stale environment with nothing but glass cases and neon lights. Shanti Baba is filled with imported, hand-crafted sculptures and accessories from India and Indonesia. The owner apparently backpacks often to that part of the world and ships back all the best goodies they can find. Walking in, you wouldn’t even know that they sell cannabis accessories. The place is filled with all sorts of wooden animals, masks, and all sorts of general trinkets. Only getting to the middle of the store does it become apparent that they sell other kinds of accessories. It’s truly a mixtures of experiences that you can’t find anywhere else. The staff is so helpful, relaxed, and positive. The products are priced far below anywhere else, and the quality is outstanding. The environment is so thick with otherwordly culture, and it smells so good in there. I was even gifted an amazingly beautiful reusable bag(the most artistic one I’ve ever come across) for purchasing over a certain amount. I live in the US, but will make sure that I go back there to show my support, they certainly deserve it. For this kind of shop, Shanti Baba receives my absolute highest recommendation!

I dropped by Shanti Baba to buy some incense and was so intrigued by all those really need«smoking» supplies… I don’t smoke. but was amazed by all this pipes, bongs and how they can be a piece of artworks in itself… And Shanti Baba opening till late on Friday and Saturday… I wondering who are coming to shop and what they are shopping for at the after hours. maybe I have to stay pass my bed time one day to find out!

love this place. even though i live up the street, it’s one store that isn’t constantly inhibited with 905’s wanting to go home from Downtown Toronto with marijuana memorabilia(ie. Friendly Stranger up the street closer to University Ave). The store is jammed pack of smokin’ ‘stuff’, such as hand blown B.C. glass bowls, pipe cleaners, resin cleaner, etc and it’s all reasonably priced for being so central. The staff is friendly & knowledgeable, and makes your cruise around the store looking at stuff fairly entertaining. They do have some hand crafted furniture and other wooden household furnishings. All good quality, original pieces. One of those cool stores to check out, even if you don’t smoke.

I was about to describe Shanti Baba as «the store on Queen Street that smells dope!» and wouldn’t you know, that is the store’s actual tagline. ACTUALLY. Go look at the website. So yeah — every time you’re walking towards Gandhi to pick up your overpriced-but-sinfully-delicious roti, this is the place you walk by that smells like a hippie enclave. They sell all sorts of paraphernalia in here, like vaporizers, bongs, pipes, scales and cleaners, however, there is no reason to ever come in this store for anything other than Nag Champa incense. I buy it here by the wheelbarrow, no joke. They practically give it away — it’s something like six cartons of 20 sticks for $ 15. I should probably ask myself why I burn so much frigging incense. On Fridays and Saturdays it’s inexplicably open until 3am. I have no idea what sort of transcendent/new age/John Tesh/Age Of Aquarius/celestial wind chimes/voodoo mayhem is taking place in here at 3am on a Friday, and maybe I don’t want to know. All I know is that this is my trusted incense supplier!
