Q Space

This is a nice little multi purpose space taking over The Greek Corner restaurant at the corner of Borden and College across from Amatos Pizza. Since the Greek resto was so shady with rarely anyone seen inside and no listing on Unilocal,consider this change a good thing.
From their grand opening here’s their blurb, ‘Q Space aims to be a space where artists, social innovators, and community members can come together in the spirit of social change.‘
While that lofty goal remains to be seen, the space is well lit with natural light and has an interesting library near the front. Small press releases are highlighted.
Near the rear is a place where gallery openings could be hosted with nice while walls perfect for showcasing art. When I visited, the owner said he was hosting party for a neighbourhood resident who decided to move the party indoors and needed a place for that. The capacity is around 70. Q Space is a welcome addition to College St. and hopefully draws on the Kensington vibe from across the street.
