Nailing

Had a great first experience here. A little pricier than I would normally go but I love their two week guarantee on shellac. If it chips in the two weeks just go in for a touch up.

I’ve been going there since they opened they’ve always done an amazing job and friendly, they have a great selection of colors and shellac and the massage chairs alone are worth the trip you can’t beat the price I highly recommend to all my clients check them out

Very nice and clean new nail salon — brand new, friendly staff.
Shellac Manicure was not the best. They don’t soak your hands in water. Cuticle trim was ok, polish was not perfect.
Cost $ 40 with tax plus tip.

I just began working in the area and was so happy to find a good mani/​pedi for $ 30. In my old work area (King and Bay) that was unheard of! I came in on a very wet rainy afternoon and got a manicure and pedicure with a time constraint. Both ladies did a lovely job and did not cut corners. My hand massage was heavenly and my foot massage was wonderful. When I left, since i hadn’t planned to get my nails done that day and worn closed shoes, they wrapped my feet in saran wrap and that preserved my pedi! Great place, nice people, and clean. Will return!

I came in at 4:20pm for a 4:30pm shellac manicure and pedicure appointment. I sat in the pedicure chair until 5pm without anyone even addressing the fact that no one had started my services. It wasnt until i got up to leave that someone came over to say it would be a few more minutes. I get it. It is busy. However if i make an appointment and you cannot honor it, tell me so I can go to another salon. This is my second time coming here. The first time wasn’t all that great but because of the proximity to my condo I figured I would give it another try. Poorly managed.

I don’t often get manicures or pedicures, but it’s nice to finally have a good place to go to in the neighbourhood. As the first person of contact, Steve is friendly and welcoming. He is quick to show you the various colours from which to choose. I booked an appointment with Rita based on other Unilocal reviews, and she did not disappoint! She pays attention to details, and I never felt as though she was rushing. Aesthetically, Nailing provides a bright, clean, and calm atmosphere. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back!

This place is amazing! The best manicure I have ever gotten! Steve at the front desk is great, customer service, assisting with colours, getting you set up in the best massage chairs ever and a flat screen playing good movies, (Cinderella with Kate Blanchett was playing when I was there). Rita is magical. She is the ultimate professional. She pays attention to every detail. My husband and I went in for mani-​pedi as a birthday treat. I ended adding on a shellac nail polish, (which is guaranteed for two weeks). I was so impressed with the quality of service I booked a follow up appointment. If you are looking a for a nail salon that is not filled with the dust and smell of acrylic nails (they have a separate room for that) great service, reasonable pricing and nail technicians that know what they are doing, this is the place to go to.

Management contacted me last week to ask me when I would be coming in for my complimentary pedicure (in connection with my previous experience). I had forgotten that I had this, and I really appreciated that they had remembered, and even reached out to me to schedule the appointment.
I went back last Wednesday for the complimentary pedicure with Rita (management). She took her time with every aspect of the pedicure and I could tell she really cared about the outcome. She even noted to me that one of my nails was slightly bent and to be careful going forward with it (so that it wouldn’t chip off). The overall experience was relaxing, and very enjoyable.

Went to get a mani and pedi here after reading great reviews on Unilocal.Unfortunately my experience here wasn’t as great as everyone else’s. I went with a friend and we were both very disappointed in the services we received.
At first, walking into the place, the man at reception was very welcoming and helpful. Showed us to the colours and then to our seats. The place was very nice and clean, I’ll give them that.
However the manicure and pedicure we received was really poorly done. To start, my pedicure consisted of a feet soak with getting the nails cut. My nails were not filed and the skin around my nails and cuticles was barely touched. I asked the woman who did my nails three times to remove a piece of my cuticle that was lose and my request was ignored. Both my manicure and pedicure felt rushed (and I had booked an appointment).
My manicure was just as bad as the pedicure. It felt rushed and just like my pedicure, my nails were barely touched. I had to ask her to remove my cuticles and she told me she already had. It felt like I just got a colour change rather than a manicure.
Overall, I felt like the services I received could have been done better if I had saved the money and done it at home myself.

Ok so this is one of those times when I’m trying not to be selfish. So I am sharing… I love this place. They do a great job! It’s clean. The estheticians are all good. I don’t have a specific one I go to. The customer service is spectacular! Lots of Colours. All good! I brought my niece here for special auntie time and the put on frozen. So nice! They are new and my only worry is that it’s going to start getting over booked. I love them!

I had a great experience at Nailing. Everyone was pleasant and the salon is nice and clean. I was on a tight timeline and Rita managed to do a shellac mani and regular pedi in an hour without making me feel like she was rushing. She took her time with the details, still did a foot and hand massage, and did a great job overall.
The guy who manages the front desk was also really nice. I really wanted my polish to match on my toes and my fingers despite the shellac polish only being on my fingers and the guy and Rita went out of their way to find a matching colour for my toes.
I will definitely be back and am so happy that a place like this has opened up next door :)

I had my first visit this past Saturday. I was surprised they weren’t crazy busy — I guess I got lucky! I had called beforehand with a couple of questions, and was pleased with the customer service on the phone.
I went in, thinking I was going to get artificial nails done (I’m trying desperately to stop picking at my cuticles!) but Rita, upon looking at my hands, asked me why I’d want fake nails when mine are strong and healthy. She saved me a bunch of money by suggesting I do shellac instead. Rita, you’re great! She took her time, she was pleasant, and she was thorough. My nails look fantastic, and I’m not in the least bit hesitant to return for another manicure — although next time I’m adding on the pedicure, because they have a combo deal that my toes could definitely use.
I only did 4 stars because my manicure hasn’t seen any bar shifts yet, so I’m waiting to see how it endures. Fingers crossed, so to speak!

Second visit to Nailing and again, my appointment did not disappoint! They called to push the appointment a bit — I didn’t mind. When we arrived as were seated in the pedicure chairs. Management was great with their recommendations and I decided to go with a shellac French mani and regular pedi. Rita did an amazing job on my shellac! I’ll definitely be back. The staff made us feel so pampered the entire time. Did not rush the appointment (despite the store almost being closed). I was very happy and relaxed by the time my appointment ended. I will definitely be back as I’ve mentioned in my other review.

I work down the street and stopped in during my lunch break. Cos did an exceptional job getting me in and out in about an hour. Probably the best shellac manicure I have ever had, and an equally perfect pedicure. Everyone was incredibly friendly and hospitable. This is definitely my new go-​to nail salon!
