I’ve lived in the area for 4 years now after moving from the downtown core. I once had the luxury of having the city at my fingertips — when you live in the Bathurst Quay community this is your quick grocery /convenience store. The ladies who work at the cash are friendly and hard working — I can see that they likely own this place and pride themselves in being fast and efficient. The prices is what looses a star — it is too expensive to make this your prime place for staples. It’s not really their fault, just a good business opportunity until the West Block Loblaws mega store will be built — circa 2019 likely. The fruit is pretty good and has a good selection, along with the vegetables. You can grab the odd needed baking supply or laundry soap and if you’re in a pinch some breakfast cereal. I sometimes grab their ready made coffee which is a really good deal. Overall I would of likely given the place less stars but I can see how hard they work.

It’s incredible how for a relatively small store this place literally has everything you could possibly need. From random hardware store type items to grocery. It’s one of the only grocery/corner stores in the immediate area and fortunately it’s very good.

I really like the selection of produce, the store is in a high traffic area so the turn over on items is good, it is very clean, variety is pretty decent for a smaller scaled store, the hours are great. The customer service is terrible! As a regular customer, you rarely get a warm greeting or even a smile. I have witnessed a particular male staff member yelling with different customers on more than one occasion. I was told by a cashier, who was standing at the cash not doing anything, to go to the other cashier(2 feet away) to cash in a winning $ 5 lotto ticket. The service has only deteriorated since the change over in management(approx 3 – 4 years ago). It has not always been this way. I have been shopping here on a weekly basis since the original owners back in 2001.
