Drinks are average, since it’s a chain they’re pricey. The only good thing about this place is karaōke in front of a great crowd. The only bummer is that it takes SO long for them to get to your song when you request it. My friends and I requested two songs at once and asked them to space them out as needed so we wouldn’t hog the mic. We waited 45 minutes to sing our first song and after an hour and a half of waiting around and eating a bit, we left without doing our second song. They need a better system or something because there were long gaps between songs and it definitely could have happened faster.

For the most part amazing customer service, very good food and drinks, great karaōke, and fair prices. I’ve been to this venue at least 5 times now, and tonight(Friday night) we had a bit of a mixed experienced, however over-all I rather enjoyed it. The pool table is now gone, so that was something that we didn’t expect. They now have one karaōke session set up in the front, and separate one setup in the back. Initially there wasn’t enough seating in the front, so they sat us in the back. I got to sing my song quite soon, since the back was pretty empty, however it started to fill up fast. The lady that was running the place decided to move us to the front when a table opened up(I believe she mentioned that there was a large party at the back), so she pulled our next songs out of rotation, and said that we’d be up next at the front, and that was indeed what happened. The karaōke hostess at the front had a great voice, and a very engaging personality, where-as she would try to help people sing by joining in when they were having troubles following the song, and giving nicknames in a playful manner, to the peeps singing. When ordering drinks and food, we got 1 extra drink, and never got the fries one of the people in my party ordered. However the wings were very tasty, as was the fancy drink that m’lady got. The music was a bit loud, so it was harder to get a conversation happening while the singing was going on. So all-in-all even though there were a few smaller issues, I had a great time at the Bloor Fox. and I’d definitely return there again.

Overpriced and slow. It took forever for the food to come out and when it did, it wasn’t hot anymore anyway. When we asked for the bill, it took a good while for the bills to come. Then the waitress said she’d be back with the card machine and never did… we had to go inside just to pay. This is despite the restaurant appearing to be well-staffed and with many empty tables. I’m surprised by how many consistently poor reviews they’ve gotten. It would seem that they manage to stay in business based on their location on Bloor and being the hotel restaurant of the Holiday Inn in which it resides(eg. few repeat customers). Wouldn’t come back again.

One of the. Not so well furnished fox and fiddles. Bare minimum. Karaōke was nice though. A lot of older songs. We came on a Sunday night. The wait wasn’t too long to get our song in. The place was basically empty except three tables. Service is bare minimum. They will come ask you for drinks and then when you need to pay you’ll have to go scavaging for a server.

This is the place I go to when I want something cheap and NOT fancy — like a quick beer and potentially a bite. Even though the food may not fit in with the quick aspect of the visit. This place is one of the poorer pubs out there. While on Bloor and right next to the UofT campus, it really doesn’t try too hard. Most students prefer other pubs and this is the one where you can go and find a near guaranteed table. This was the only place in the area where we could also find an empty table on St. Patricks. Really — that tells you something. Food is average at best with a mediocre drink menu. Waitresses are so disinterested it’s not even funny. I generally avoid judging service after one visit especially in a pub, but this one is consistently bad. Half full pub and most of the time waitresses are slow to the point that I need to go to the bar and ask for a drink(good luck asking them to refill before you finish your drink). I have had a nice waitress once — I was so shocked! Why do I return here? It is convenient and I get a guaranteed table. Grab a pint, pay and leave!

Not really a fan of this place. However, a number of my friends frequent the establishment by virtue of it being very close to U of T campus, or something(I doubt this has much to do with quality…), so I’ve been here a number of times. The food is mediocre,(I’ve had the wings, fries, salad and chicken wrap here) and certainly not worth the price. The place itself is pretty dull and dratty. I’ve never seen it at anything close to full capacity, and the crowd is mostly middle– aged. Lame kareoke on the weekends. There really isn’t anything akin to a good vibe here. The only thing going for this place is that the servers here are quite friendly, but at the end of the day, that really isn’t much.

I’m disappointed that in a Canadian restaurant, in Canada, the syrup they serve with their pancakes(freshly made, the pancakes) in the morning, isn’t maple syrup. That sucks. The restaurant is located at the Holiday Inn in Toronto and serves as the hotel restaurant. Meals can be billed to your room directly.

If your in a rush this is def a perfect place for you… Said no one ever The service is slow. The waiter is uninterested in life, lacked anything common people would call a personality. We waited for 2 hrs to sing but they had a rotation of 10 regulars so never got a chance/uninterested in waiting… food was awful and fried in old oil. Ick even McDonald’s would be better

#1 my salad was wilty and rotten, so I sent it back. The server didn’t even try to replace it but gave me fries instead. No price reduction, of course. #2 fries tasted like they were out of a grocery store freezer section. #3 burger was adequate #4 had to ask for ketchup and vinegar — shouldn’t those be offered? Overall, I’ll never be returning.

Went there for the first time for my friend’s going away party on a Wednesday night The place was pretty empty, 8 of us got a long table close to the stage, and enjoyed Karaōke. We ended up getting a few shots, and a bunch of beer. At the end of the night, my bill ended up being around 60 $(there was a pitcher, 2 beers, and 10 shots). Food: I did not order food so unsure how good or bad(based on other reviews it was). Service: The service was could have been slightly better, for us being the largest table, and getting a lot of drinks, we should not have had to walk up to the bar, but the waitress was supposed to keep checking in on us more regularly. The DJ(or whatever the official position for someone who plays the karaōke requests) was friendly. Locale: The locale was ok, somewhat dark(which is expected for a Karaōke night.

All I can say is … Wow. And not in a good way. Came in for a Sunday afternoon nibble and drinks after a ROM outing. Expected the typical pub chain experience but was dismayed to see what appeared more like a brightly-lit run-down asylum complete with a skeleton staff and sad patients with walkers. A sad, sad vibe. We should have walked out then and there, but we were starving! The pub is just off the lobby of the Holiday Inn Express. There is a large open space running down the middle of the room, leaving little space for actual tables. We ended up sitting beside a mountain of unfolded napkins and tray of cutlery that they never bothered to clean up the whole time we were there. Service started badly and ended off worse. The waitress was scattered, taking several minutes to come over to bring us menus, another while to bring water, and eventually took our orders 20 minutes later. She kept mumbling that she would be right back, and told us that she was getting cheese for another table(TMI!). The other servers didn’t look much better. Food was pretty good(club sandwich, poutine, chicken wrap and chicken finger kids lunch). The kids at our table were causing a racket but no one seemed to mind — a small redeeming factor! Capping off the meal, the nutty waitress paused(for the first time) to tell us what she seemed to think was a very funny joke about fellatio and little kids. Really? With 3 kids under five at the table, it was totally inappropriate. We will never, ever be back!

Average pub, went on a Thursday night, pretty empty. Got a cider beer and regular poutine. Be warned that this poutine is «pub style», which little did I know that it means potato wedges baked with gravy and cheese curds; they’re not fried and crispy. $ 20 in total, waitress was pretty knowledgable. There’s also a pool table at the back.

The most RIDICULOUSLYBAD experience just now. We went in 20 minutes into the game, they sat 5 of us on a tiny 2 seater table, we ordered what we can at ~3:30pm in the afternoon and they kicked us out FORCEFULLYANDRUDELY at ~80 minutes into the game for not ordering enough and they had a lot of people lining up(there were 3 – 4 at most). Refused to say how much was enough, said $ 20 per person when pressed, and we had already ordered nearly $ 40 worth! We were so full from lunch, so how much more CAN we order?! Other people around us just got one drink, so why the heck were they just kicking us out? Racism? Mistake? We DID order nearly $ 40 worth, so what the heck. We were being cramped on a tiny 2 seater. Never been treated SO rudely by managament before. Kept sending the server, and refused to talk to us until he actually came and kicked us out. Worst sport watching experience ever, let alone such a key World Cup game. Been a long time customer, never going back. Looks like we’re not the only ones, never go here for sports or anything.

ABSOLUTELYTHEWORSTPLACEANDDONOTGOHEREFORFIFA Absolutely the worst pub I have ever been to. I went to this location today with a few friends to catch the Brazil FIFA game. There was three of us at the time and three more was joining us later(15 minutes after we arrived). So we asked if we could put some tables together and they said fine(btw, no one seated us, we had to seat ourselves, which is fine, but a server or the manager should of put the tables together for our small party. Which is what my work place does) The server asked us if we need menus and we said yes and asked for water to start us off because we were still waiting for people to arrive, and the game haven’t started yet for us to start ordering. The server didn’t look so impressed that we didn’t order drinks and food right off the bat. I don’t know why this was a issue. Few seconds after the server brought us our water, the manger(I’m assuming) came over to our table and told us that if we don’t order he’s going to have to ask us to leave because the booth we were sitting at was a «prime» spot for the game and it gets busy. We’ve only been at the pub for about 5 minutes. So for the manager to demand us to order that minute or we will be asked to leave is pretty unprofessional. Further, the manager implied that we all need to order food each. I don’t understand why he had to say this to us, knowing that we were waiting for more people. Also, the manager did not approach any other table, only ours. I’m assuming because we looked young(we were in the age group 23 – 27), but apparently the manager assumed that we are some young kids that will walk into a pub and watch the game without ordering food. The way he said it made us feel like an authoritative figure was reprimanding us for doing something wrong. The manager could of said«hi guys, just wanted to let you know that we have a policy during FIFA games and it is…» But this is how he said it, «if you don’t order I’m going to have to ask you to leave, this is a prime spot, okay?» So moving on to the actual service, it was SLOW. The server was non-existent. The re-fills for salsa and sour cream for nachos is an extra charge(I don’t understand why). On top of an unprofessional manager, shitty service and okay food was extra charge for everything we asked. Last but not least, they don’t have 100 inch screen tvs as they claim on their website. They have a bunch of small tvs along with three projectors(NOT TVs). Horrible quality and it was hard to enjoy the game. Ps. The manager was also an asshole to the servers. The server was cashing out my table and having a quick conversation and explaining something to us(I forget exactly what, but something about the menu), and the manager called her over in a very rude voice. I am server at a restaurant as well and my manager would never just grab me from my table while I’m explaining something. They would wait.

The bouncer inspected our bags when we walked in. I’ve never seen this happen at a pub, let alone a Fox and Fiddle. He even opened and smelled my diet coke bottle. Then they found an empty bottle of alcohol in my friend’s bag that she forgot to throw out and they wouldn’t let her in. She wasn’t intoxicated at all. We were paying $ 500+ to have an event there. I recommend you save your money and go elsewhere. The bouncer was extremely disrespectful and swore at me. What kind of pub inspects your bags at the door in the first place anyway? And treat customers so disrespectfully.

F&F is a good place to go if you’re craving greasy bar food. Their nachos are generously sized and topped with many veggies. They also serve many types of burgers as well as ribs, chicken fingers, and large salads. It’s a pretty casual, informal bar with decent prices(plates range from $ 9 – 18.00).

This place is a pit! My friend and I came here because we love the nachos up at the St. Clair location. This location is awful in comparison. The server didn’t bring us menus for about 10 minutes and wandered off somewhere instead of offering us drinks. So we just sat there– hungry and pissed off. When we placed our order we specifically asked for the salsa on the side of the nachos(otherwise they get soggy). I swear, the server must have picked up the wrong order because our nachos were swimming in salsa, when we pointed this out to him he said he’s have them make a different one without, but we’d already waited so long and by this point I was ready to chew my own arm off, so we just ate the soggy nachos. The server didn’t get that we were there to drink. It seemed to be a pain in the ass for him to bring another round to our table. So we left with soggy nachos in our bellies and not enough beer for our brains. This place is also sorta scuzzy, but not in the good scuzzy old man bar way. Just grease and such. Gross washrooms, too.

Was here last night for a friends party. The atmosphere is great and the wait staff are attentive and excellent. The taps are not taken care of thought. More than one person in our party returned a beer due to it being either flat or tasting off. The nachos and boneless wings were fantastic. The portions were large and you can easily share the nachos between 4 people.

I came here with a large group(~15) on a Friday night for karaōke. Nothing too special about this place, but the location is convenient, the drinks aren’t too expensive, and the service was decent. Good place to just have a fun night and not take yourself too seriously: P PROS: — Karaōke!(10pm every Friday) Huge binder of songs listed either by artist or song title. They had pretty much every song we wanted. — Location — Cheap drinks, mixed drinks were $ 4.50 and I think they had some special on shots — Servers were pretty good about coming around to check on us through the night for drinks/food — Nachos were HUGE… we only got 1 order for the entire table and that’s all we really needed — As Michael M. mentioned, it’s a good sized crowd — not too big, not too small CONS: — Only one mic, which makes duets/group songs difficult(you end up really only hearing one person). — Random gangsta rap played really loudly between karaōke songs? — Order of who gets to sing seems really arbitrary(not in order of when you submit your song… some girl who was not great and sang country songs got to do 3 solos: S) — Drunken undergrads that insist on singing Eminem
