I’m surprised to see so many negative reviews here, I remember hearing totally undeserved and vindictive comments from a near-​by design shop’s owners few years back when Equilibrium first opened, calling the place unimaginative/cheap.etc which was shameful and unneighbourly to say the least. At this point I wonder if this is all related.
Personally, I’ve always had positive experience with this business, we needed condo-​sized furniture for our new condo 3 years ago and ended up buying a few great pieces here, which proved durable. We certainly could never afford to buy a $ 10K sofa from the shop near-​by haha
Since then, I drop-​by to check out their new stuff from time to time, might be coming back soon to finish furnishing our new house, something that’s taking us a year so far.
I’m glad this business is still going strong.

I don’t know where to start. For someone that owns her own business you would think she would care a little more about it. Samantha was so rude. My husband and I were the only people in the entire store and she could not be bothered at all to help us. She is so apathetic it was unbelievable.
One of the reasons we chose this store was because their website said they sold Canadian made products. It was difficult to find anything in the store that was not made in China.
Our chair that we paid a $ 100 delivery fee was never delivered to us. This didn’t seem to bother Samantha at all. After waiting for the chair for 3 ½ weeks we decided to rent a van and pick it up ourselves. She made my husband carry it out to the van. She did refund our delivery fee…
Overall an unbelievable customer service experience.

Equilibrium provides a nice break from the vintage type of home furnishing stores that seem to dominate The Junction.
The selection here is more modern and contemporary. So while you might find one cool piece at another store, you’re most likely going to find what you need to complete your look at this store. They carry a range of living room, dining room, office, and outdoor furniture along with the accessories to add some life to your décor.
