Great coffee, fast wifi, mediocre food, no ambience. The coffee shop shares the same space with Freshii. I stopped in to do a bit of work and they had alternative music blaring in the background so it wasn’t a great place to do some work. This is a place I’d only go for take out.

The Coffee is ok but the lineup to get food/drinks is very long

I drink regular coffee on daily basis. And I love supporting small businesses so I would rather leave my money here than in Starbucks. But I just can’t drink their coffee. It’s just awful. I went there ordered coffee, took a sip than another one and I just couldn’t finish my coffee. Even though I feel extremely bad when I have to complain I just had to ask for another coffee. So they were kind enough to give us espresso instead but that was not impressive either. I’ll give them 3 stars cuz they are pleasant and nice but for my everyday coffee– Starbucks it is.

Best Yonge/bloor coffee hands down. You get a free drink when you get 8 stamps and I’ve probably gotten 10+ free drinks so… Yeah… I’ve spent alot here. Friendly staff, awesome americano mistos. Delicious.

This is a very teeny tiny little coffee corner tucked inside a freshi that’s a surprising treat! Coffee is very fair deals for speciality drinks and they have a nice variety of treats to pair with your coffee needs. Baristas are all lovely, friendly people up for convos.

I came here in the hopes of finding a new great coffee shop. Sadly i was a bit disappointed. I ordered an Americano, just to get an idea of their roast. It was burnt, and so my story ends. If you’re here for the coffee exclusively(cant say anything about the sweets) then move along as you’ll find better care in many other cafes downtown.

Best Americano in Bloor/Yorkville area. Baristas are all knowledgeable and friendly. Their scones/muffins from Circles and Squares are consistently good. The only downside is seating as it shares its space with Freshii so I usually get my coffee to go but if you want to sit and enjoy your coffee, there is seating available.

The only place I go for coffee in the bloor yonge/yorkville area. The baristas are well trained and knows how to perfectly make the drinks on their menu. I have honestly never had a bad cup of coffee here and I’ve already went through 2 or 3 of their point cards(that’s more than 50 cups oh god).

There’s a reason I come here almost everyday. Crema taste without the hassle. Yummy americanos, lattes, cappucinos. Full taste without being burnt. It’s a really simplified space because they’ve got such little square footage. Therefore, no soy milk at the serving station. You gotta ask for it. Milk and cream provided only. They’ve also got loyalty cards. Not a steal or anything. But if you come here everyday, you may as well benefit from it. Also, if you’re a spiller like me — they’ve got new lids that are made from thicker plastic and way more legit.

Like the other reviews state, this is a small counter within Freshii. So there are tables, and wifi(I think), but the interior is similar to that of a Subway… as opposed to a bunch of people on their laptops doing work with some jazzy music in the background! This location is also off the Yonge strip, so I don’t think it gets awfully busy as it’s sorta out of the way. Since the heatwave came back, I decided to get an iced latté. I quite enjoyed the strong espresso taste and the drink wasn’t loaded down with ice like some other places *cough* Tim Horton’s *cough*. They also had a simply syrup as a sweetener which helped with my cold drink. If I’m in the area, I wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Definitely recommended for coffee lovers! P. S. I was soo full from lunch, I didn’t have room for a butter tart! Oh well, next time…

Best latte and it’s VERY strong! I ended up staying up all night and still feeling the caffeine buzz the next morning. I thought it was a full size café at first, but it’s actually a counter inside a Freshii. It’s a tiny place across the street from the Bay on Bloor St. Top quality coffee and foam that tastes good with milk alternatives like almond milk(for the lactose intolerant). The space is a bit disappointing because it feels like a fancy fast food joint but the quality of the coffee and the impeccable presentation makes up for it.

Went to this place based on Rainie’s review and didn’t know it even existed even though I pass it everyday. Their latte is really good, perfect aroma of coffee with a nice creamy flavour without tasting like milk or froth. IMHO, much better latte than Starbucks. Guess this will be my new afternoon coffee place. Pumpkin pepita muffin is also very good.

The location is more of a counter inside a freshii restaurant. The seating area is shared so I am not sure if it gets slammed during lunch hours. Ordered a scone for good measures as well. Here is the verdict on the cappuccino Espresso: Medium Crema’: Good Milk: Frothed Well Latte Art: Good This is a decent drink if you are in this neck of the woods. The scone was OK nothing special IMO. 3.5 Stars. I would recommend just a quick drink and leave in this place.

Delicious cortados, lattes, chocolate chip cookies(two kinds) and butter tarts! My favourite is a cortado with a pecan butter tart. It’s absolutely delicious. They have a loyalty card: buy 10 get the 11th one free. Only downside is they’re aren’t open as late as Starbucks. I highly recommend this place. Afternoon special includes Clover-brewed coffee for $ 2! Good deal! In the summer they do it on ice too.

I am so glad this coffee place opened up in this little tiny space. There’s not a lot of other choices for good coffee in this area. I usually go to Lettieri in Yorkville but now at least I have another option. Great cappuccinos and amazing butter tarts. Like seriously, YOUHAVETOGETONE.

It’s tough to write a review for a spot that’s little more than a countertop and a few pieces of fancy equipment, subletting space from an aspiring salad chain. But here I am, rocked like a hurricane by one of the best lattes this city has to offer. Bonus points for one of the city’s only surviving pre-Starbucks-buyout Clover coffee machines. I don’t know how that baby works, but man it produces a smooth and fragrant brew. Crema features a rotating selection of drip and clover cdoffees, some as high as $ 7 a cup. That may be a bit rich for my blood, but the occasional jazzy varietal is worth the splurge. Wine afficionadoes(you know the type; the guys who can pull out flavours ranging from tobacco to fruit to wet socks) will understand the complexity that results. Prices are a bit higher than the neighbourhood chain average, but if you’re shopping at Holt Renfrew across the street, or working in a Bay Street office tower, the presumption is that you can afford to shell out a bit more. Baked goods, including brown-paper-collarred muffins loaded with fruit, look great but are entirely beside the point. Steamed milk achieves microfoamtastic sweetness, swirled over a perfectly short pair of espresso shots. Cute designs are more basic than the Bulldog’s, but since I usually take mine lidded, to go I prefer the effort to g into what’s inside the cup, rather than how pretty it is. Service is hipsterrifically knowledgeable. Crema even makes the standard tip jar experience fun: a pair of espresso cups are usually decorated with pictures of duelling newsmakers. The public votes with it’s feet; unless some wiseacre decides to say, empty Margaret Atwood’s change into Rob Ford’s cup, as revenge for a high school semester spent reading«Cat’s Eye». Take that, you know-it-all CanLit biddy!!!

I generally try not to start an early morning at work without a coffee from Crema for fear of falling asleep in a meeting and drooling on my VP’s important files. I think that’s what they call a CLM(career limiting move). Stopped into Crema to grab an Americano($ 3.10) and a citrus bran muffin($ 2.50). They had a nice assortment of pastries including scones, croissants and cookies all priced at $ 2.50. I do remember that in the summer, they had a special that was get a free pastry with the purchase of a coffee so that was a nice surprise. I ended up picking the lemon scone. Service is friendly and chatty. No complaints here. There are many other options for coffee in this area(Timmy’s, Starbucks, Timothy’s, the coffee machine in my office’s lunch room) but Crema is a nice treat from the norm.

This location of Crema Coffee is one of those that I almost walked by without even it exist. Such a small storefront. Great to come on a nice day because sipping coffee at one of those tables on Bloor Street watching the world buzzing by is an experience in itself. Cappuccino? How was it? I don’t remember much, all I remembered were the cars, the smoke, the annoying guitar player that would not leave me alone! Free WIFI just log in at FRESH’s open network!

I must say I was not too impressed by Crema. Apart from the obvious lack of an actual space for itself, my latte and nutella cookie cost a lot more than I think they should have gone for. And it was a shame I was not blown away by my drink because this is at a good location to grab a quick coffee drink on the go. My initial reaction to it was«hmm that’s very similar to what I have at Far Coast at the Varsity cinema». As for my cookie, it was chocolaty, sweet and whilst physically hard not terribly difficult to eat. I will visit again to experiment with their various menu options and hopefully it will be during a more quiet period as I did go just after the lunch hour on a weekday. Hopefully by then I will have my Indie Coffee passport as well!
