I didn’t want to start laser hair removal in the fear that it was really expensive and I would have to keep coming back for more. But my close friend Nadia highly recommended there service. I was a little sceptical when I went but the nurse reassured me and took me for a free consultation. She explained the procedure and did a patch test on me. Made me feel more comfortable. It was not expensive I paid $ 700 for a full leg treatment but what a different!!! Definitely going to consider doing my under arms and bikini. I have to say I go back about every 5 – 6 weeks is and there is a noticeable difference since my first visit. They use the Soprano laser and it actually is pain free and works on my skin type and its SDA approved for tan skin so I don’t have to worry about sun exposure. The staff are medically trained and licensed nurse, they are supervised. The staff are wonderfully friendly, helpful and polite. If it’s your first time go with Beauty Bar Laser Clinic!!!

The polar vortex had left me yearning for some serious beauty R&R. Coincidentally, Beauty Bar(which I had not been to since my hydrafacial – amazing) had just renovated the clinic; the new facelift and transformation reflects the plethora of their new offerings such as eyelash extensions, coolsculpting for fat loss, chemical peels, tattoo removal, IPL and weight loss programs with ideal protein and B12 injections. Eyelash extensions you say?!! After a run-in with an acquiantance who was sporting a full set of mink lashes, my interest was immediately piqued. Yet, this desire led to an internal crisis: Did I really need eyelash extensions? Will I end up looking drag? Will my natural lashes fall off? This was a biggie. Not wanting to pay an exorbitant amount for eyelash extensions, like at eyelash places like Winks Boutique in Yorkville, and it being my first time, i opted for a more affordable yet trusted eyelash technician at Beauty Bar – Janine. Janine was professional and told me she had been practicing her craft for two Years. It is VERY important to have a certified eyelash technician who knows what they’re doing. This will ensure nothing goes wrong during the gluing or extension process. Janine also tested if I was allergic to the glue, as some people may be. I asked her to give me the most natural look, and she proceeded to give me a full set of mink eyelashes. The process itself takes 1.5−2 hours(yes this means you can’t check your phone); your bottom lashes will also be glued down during the entire time. It is not uncomfortable, but indeed very relaxing. You may even use this time to sneak-in a nap. Each lash is then glued individually onto your natural lashes and they are supposed to last for at least three weeks, IF you take care of them properly. This means not using any oil-based products or make up on your eyes, using the sauna or working out right after. These can cause your lashes to fall out sooner than you would want. Naturally, the lashes fall out as per your natural lash cycle, so you will notice them falling out over time. After your first time, you can go and get refills every 3 weeks. The end result was unbelievable and I’m afraid I’m now hooked. My eyelashes looked completely natural yet dramatic. My eyes looked more awake and I was happy to not have to wear mascara for weeks to come or even go out without makeup. These eyelashes gave the me extra oomph without the effort. I can now confirm that your natural lashes to not fall out and eyelash extensions are indeed all the rage. While at Beauty Bar, I also picked up a spray self-tanner and the new glo minerals liquid foundation with diamond powder which are both fantastic products. The products available at this clinic have really impressed me as they are only usually found in doctors offices. Can’t wait to go in for my refill.

30 min facial without poking holes in your skin, pain and redness — yes please!!! I’m always on the search for the next best beauty find and I would highly recommend the HYDRAFACIAL for those who are looking to exfoliate, extract and hydrate, I think I’ve found my next fav facial. My skin feels so tight and soft, and honestly the best part is that it’s only half and hour! I am so busy, I barely had time to schedule this in but this was well worth it and I think I will come get this once a month from now on! HYDRAFACIAL — all-in-one facial. removes dead skin cells, hydrates skin and results immediately! It was so painless and relaxing, the results are honestly amazing. I added on a GLYCOLICPEEL — which anything to take more skin off, sign me up for, my skin left there feeling fresh and redness was only 20 minutes and now my skin is perfection! I was also recommended a great new line called Vivier, which is a vitamin C based line that stimulates collagen production in your skin, but naturally. Anyways, I had mentioned to Sucel that dark circles were my worst enemy — so she had recommended DARKCIRCLEDIMINSHINGEYECREAM — yes please, I can’t wait to try this product!!! Beauty buffs, must go, this Hydrafacial is so amazing!

For some reason when I entered the premises, I felt that this clinic was very«guido» friendly. Then I realized that the Beauty Bar use to be a tanning salon. There was also some guy waiting for a treatment and his spiked hair and tight shirt indicated that he had guido-like tendencies. The atmosphere was nice and the staff was super friendly and clean looking. The lady that did my accent xl treatment was very attractive and confident. She seemed to be guido-literate because there was a bucket of Oxyclean by her desk and that’s the only thing that gets grease stains out of clothes. It’s been a week since, and I’m not sure I see significant results but at the same time, I only received one treatment and she said after 2 – 3 weeks as the toxins flush, I will notice. **DIdn’t really notice a change at all** Then I got the Hydrafacial and although it was very brief, it was very relaxing. She showed me the gunk she extracted from my skin and I received a vitamin C serum which helps fade scars and keep my skin smooth. *for some reason my scars got worse, so it didn’t really help** I also received the teeth whitening treatment for 40 mins and it was so uncomfortable! Not because of Beauty Bar, it’s just because you have to smile for 20 minute intervals to get the wavelight exposure. My teeth were whiter by 4 or 5 shades at the end, so it was worth it. **teeth are back to normal after 3 weeks** I had to revise my review because I couldn’t help but think, had i paid full price for these services, I wouldn’t have been happy at all.

I bought a Groupon for teeth whitening(Single treatment 20 $ or Double treatment $ 30). I got the double treatment and called the Yorkville location for an appointment. I figured the Yorkville location would be the nicest because of the upscale area, however they told me that their location doesn’t do the treatment and I should call this location.(Groupon and the company said I could CHOOSE between all of their locations. FALSEADVERTISING) Anyways, it didn’t bother me much because I live close by, but the guy on the phone was very rude to me. He kept talking to someone else and never asked me to hold or wait.(His unfriendliness made me think he was hungover or something…) Anyways, I went to my session on time and was greeted by a really nice lady. She got me to fill out a form and I paid for the tax in advance. Then she led me to a room with the equipment(chair+laser). She gave me a little wipe for my teeth and then a vit. e wipe to minimize gum sensitivity. She then filled a teeth tray with whitening gel and I put it in my mouth. A laser was shone on me for 20 minutes and she came back so I could rinse. She refilled the tray with more gel and I went on for my second round. First round went okay but the second time I started to feel the sensitivity. When she was done she examined my teeth for the results and I was done. Did it work??? Did it do what it was supposed to??? I started out with with a shade 12(out of probably 60 or 80) and since they go by 2s I was already the 6th possible shade of white. They guarantee a difference of 2 – 6 shades with one treatment and 4 – 8 shades with a double(since that’s divided by two, it’s really just a minimum of 1 or 2 shades). Again, misleading advertising. I ended up going from a shade 12 to a 6 but I really don’t see much of a difference at all. Maybe just a little on my front two teeth, but if you look at the photos I posted, you really can’t see a change. Waste of money? I guess so. I’m just glad I didn’t pay full price. Maybe it’ll work better for people with yellower teeth. At least the lady was nice. I recommend not getting it done and if you do, don’t expect amazing results. Also make sure you bring an ipod or something. Their music is horrible and the wait gets pretty boring.

As most of the other reviewers seem to have, I picked up one of those group deals for teeth whitening at Beauty Bar. I called to book an appointment, set one up for today, about a week after the initial call. The day before my appointment, I received a text message on the phone number I had given them reminding me of my appointment. I thought that was a nice touch, as I cant always answer my phone(work, etc). Since I live very close, I arrived a few minutes early to fill out any necessary paperwork etc. The two girls working were nice enough. The appointment before me was running a few minutes late, but as I had the day off and a book in my purse, I didnt mind a bit. A few minutes later, one of the girls called my name, led me to the treatment room, and explained it all. She was super friendly and personable and answered all the questions I had. She offered me one of those finger toothbrush thingeys, but I’d brushed my teeth literally 5 minutes before, so didnt need to repeat. My voucher was for a double treatment, and honestly the worst part about the whole experience was keeping my mouth open for 40 minutes straight(no fault of the clinic’s). She gave me a few minutes between treatments to let my teeth(and face muscles!) rest, then resumed. Anyone thinking of having this treatment done, I’d recommend bringing an iPod. For most of the treatment, youre alone in a room, its impossible to read because of the position of the machine, and it can get a bit boring. The only other thing was that I wasnt a fan of the music they were playing. Loud GaGa is not exactly my thing, but that may have had more to do with my hangover than anything. When it was all finished, she checked the shade of my teeth and it was the second-whitest one possible(not bad for a smoking, espresso-loving wine-o!). Top-to-bottom, a fabulous experience! Thank you Beauty Bar LC!

I also came here for my HydraFacial which they advertised so much in the clinic. I had Christine as my technician, she’s very nice and cheerful. However, after 2nd treatment, I don’t think I see any obvious result like they have advertised. Literally the look of my skin is the same after 2nd treatment. I wanted to remove the sunspot or fades the sunspot, but there wasn’t any even after 2nd treatment. I still have 3rd treatment that I will be going for, and thank god I did not pay full price for a single session(which is $ 150), it’s a groupon deal thing. I would not do HydraFacial with this clinic again, maybe I will try something else.

As it turns out, I won’t have the chance to let anyone know how my second visit went because shortly after posting my first review I received a call from the counter guy telling me that I got him in trouble and that they were going to contact Groupon and refund my voucher. At one point during our conversation he raised his voice and asked me ‘Do you know how much that treatment SHOULD have cost you?!”. as if I should be grateful for the ‘service’. NOTONETIME during our conversation did he express any concern over MY experience, whatsoever. Groupon has refunded my voucher, but my phone call to BBLC re: whether or not the taxes I paid in store would be refunded as well has not yet been answered. I would give it zero stars if I could. The«Filtered Reviews’ are a huge red flag. If only I’d seen them before
