I was at Sol Exotica today(10/06/2011) for the first time because they were offering free tans. I had done 5 minutes in the stand up; the fans did not work and it ended after 3 minutes. The beds are nice but I was not happy with the service(and I let the employee politely know) I went across the street to Bellair Tan Beauty Bar where I had been a few times to finish my tan where I was greeted by a man and a women names Jeremy and Julia. The two were warm, courteous, and upbeat. When I shared with them my less then mediocre experience across the street, the pair had a genuine concern for my poor service. When I went to pay for my session, Jeremy smiled and said, «Dont worry about it this time, enjoy your tan». I have to admit, the sincere concern and the exceptional client experience I received today was enough to buy my loyalty to this brand, and this location. Thanks again to the exceptional staff, in particular Jeremy and Julia for making my night. Great Service, Great Product, Great Staff.

This place is the best! I’ve been going here for years and it brings in an eclectic blend of patrons from celebs, young professionals, even strippers! Now I may be a bit partial for my own reasons but this place has the best slection and quality equipments in the market. The owner is dilligent in changing bulbs, lotions, equipment… it’s all great! The Yorkville location has older equipment but that’s oddly where all the celebs gravitate towards. The Yonge location has awesome equipment: If you want chill and low wattage beds, go for the 100, or 450, or 170 stand up. If you want the more bronzing beds, go for the 600, 650, Facial, 220 stand up — are more intensive(so adjust your time) Lotions and eyewear, important but definately an investment. Anyone feel free to msg me about any of this, I have lots to share but too much to do it in a review! Happy tanning!

I have been tanning for years and have been to almost every tanning salon in the city and Bellair Tan has always been incredible. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and their beds are the best. Most recently I tried the spray tan and it was the ultimate tanning experience. No streaking, no orange and the booth was open concept which I like. The staff kindly walked me threw it since I was expecting the car wash experience I had received in the past with the Mistic Tan at Glow. Bellair is definitely in my good book and I can see why they uphold such a dignified reputation in the city. I highly recommend Bellair!

I came here after a frantic search up and down the Yonge strip for a spray on tan place. My usual(Glow, Mystic tan) had a broken machine, and I needed the tan today. They were really friendly, and gave up their smoke break in the front to deal me. They didn’t have mystic tan, but california tan, which is a different system. I didn’t like it to be honest maybe because was my first time using it, but I still would go back to a mystic tan. The people at Bellair as SO pretty. They were friendly and gave me a newbie intro to the new tanning system. I’m paranoid by nature, so I asked a lot of questions. I wasn’t always satisfied with the«trust me» answer they kept giving me. for $ 40, i went into the California Tan room. Instead of spraying you in the front, with horizontal nozzles that move up and down, this is a tower which is the opposide(vertical nozzles that move side to side). I don’t know if the spray technology is different, but the later results show that it didn’t seem to stay as long. It was also different because you cannot towel dry, and any drips and streaks have to be air dried by the provided tower. there was no colour to the spray, so you have go by what feels wet. I did end up with streaks on my legs and dark brown feet. With mystic tan, I felt that it stayed longer and I had a more even spray. The result afterwards was not as dark as I had hoped. I noticed that the staff at Bellair never asked me the intensity, but said I was 2 based on my height. When I looked up their info, that wasn’t mentioned, and that the level meant what colour you’d get. Regardless, i found that the tan did not develop like I wanted and I actually sprayed more on my own later. I’d still go back to Mystic Tan. Glow has a half off coupon which makes the tan $ 15 instead of $ 30. I can’t speak for the beds. Belliar Tan staff and atmopshere: 3 California Spray on Tan: 1.5
