I’m not sure if it was because I was having a bad day, but I called in to cancel my appointment and found the phone call to be quite rude. I had made an appointment the day before, but couldn’t make it the day of because of unforeseen circumstances. I called in right away when I found out I couldn’t make it. The person told me they’re going to have to charge me. I had no idea what they were talking about so they said they need to know 24 hours before cancelling. Well, perhaps they shouldn’t have taken my appointment the day before then. I have always been to Aveda along with my mother and we truly stand by their products and service but I am so turned off that I never want to go there again. I’m taking my spa business elsewhere, thanks, but no thanks. I will still buy their products, but never am I going to make an appointment there again.

I had a brow design + lip wax and Cristina did an amazing job! It was very relaxing and heavenly. She took her time to make sure everything was perfect. The total was $ 35 + tax, a bit costly compared to waxing services at Trade Secrets, but the experience is definitely worth it!

Not only did I receive a prompt follow-up to my complaint, I also received a sincere apology from the regional manager of this place and several products I’d wanted to buy on my earlier visit. I’m not sure if the same staff will treat you any differently, but I can vouch for the customer service quality of the organization itself. If you don’t feel you had the service you wanted, don’t hesitate to contact them!

I have been buying their products for a while and love the massage oils etc. but after yesterday’s experience I am definitely taking my business elsewhere and not recommending the store anymore. I went in looking for a hair styling product and the salesperson explained a little about the product.(I always prefer it when I am asked what I need before someone tries to sell me a product). Anyways, after I picked out one I mentioned that it’s my birthday next week and had received an email about their offer(10 min. massage and $ 10 off). Initially I felt like she hadn’t even heard me so I repeated myself. She looked completely uninterested and said that I would have to wait till the store was less busy. I turned back to look and there were all of two people browsing the shelves and three sales people on the floor. I obviously didn’t want to wait around for her to do me a favor. I was made to feel embarassed for asking. The products are great and I have never had any issues but I would rather take my business to Crabtree and Evelyn or Body Shop(I really like). I am not going to pay a premium and deal with rude and holier-than-thou salespeople.

I love the Aveda Store! Rolls and Rolls of Aveda products for you to try out… Ok the price is not cheap for their products. but you do get what you pay! Their products never goes on sale, but they do have the annual Family/Friends 20% discount, so make sure you sign up for their emails communication. For your birthday month, if you do and pay a visit you will get a free 10 min back/shoulder massage or a hand massage plus $ 10 gift card!(no purchase necessary.) Sometimes they have promotions. Back in September they have free hand, back and shoulder massage and free samples… with no purchase necessary!(look for the information in your inbox!) They also offer facial and massages… And the sales and therapists are all really friendly and professional!
