What a joke this place is! I had been going here for years and was a good client and then made the mistake of having Sue Ha do my highlights, after Nick tried to repair the damage my hair went orange and is fried and when I asked for refund they refused and even said I would have to pay for future highlights, saying they could give me complimentary treatments, no thanks! As another reviewer mentioned below the receptionist SASHA is sooo Fake from her fake smile and mannerisms down to the way she talks like you are a child. Will NEVER go back again, will make sure I let everyone I know not to go and there as well! RUN fast from this place.

Used to go to this salon regularly when Bebe was there. She was great and always gave me a great cut. She left and I returned once to get a root touch up. While the colourist was nice, she missed some spots and my colour was quite blotchy. My biggest complaint is their rude receptionist. It’s been over a year since I’ve been there so perhaps she’s no longer there. She has an attitude of which she is better than you and when she is smiling and helping you it comes across as very forced and fake. You cannot leave a tip if paying by card either which is not very convenient. The place is average looking aesthetically. Won’t go back.

This is where I get my lady parts waxed. I’ve been going since 2009 and I’ve seen Hannah, the esthetician, exclusively. Honestly, I love this woman. She’s so sweet and makes you feel comfortable. I don’t have a high tolerance for pain, and I remember going in for my first time, super apprehensive. But she’s so good at what she does, the pain was minimal.(I know this because one time I had to cheat on her when I couldn’t get an appointment in time and went to the Natural Solutions at Eatons. It was the most painful and horrific experience of my life…) She’s very thorough, and does extractions as well. She lets you know about any useful products but never tried to push a sale on you. I’ve never had any other services done at this salon, aside from waxing. But I really recommend seeing Hannah if you require any waxing services done. She is comfortable with both male and female clients and I think the prices, esp for a brazilian, are very reasonable, esp when you take the neighbourhood into account!

Quite literally the worst experience I’ve had at ANY business let alone a hair salon. I went in for a simple wash & style. I chose Afif since it was more convenient to my house then my usual salon and figured some curls wasn’t all that difficult to do. Nora was very nice & the place was clean. I showed her a picture of what I wanted, she looked at hair type and said this is a style she’d suggest giving the dress I was planning to wear, etc. I confirmed given my current hair cut this hair style would work. However, the monstrosity she created on my head was absolutely horrible. My first red flag is when she started to complain that i had«too much hair» and«not enough layers» so she was«hiding» hair in the back in a mess of bobby pins. My bad that I didn’t stop her here, but I figured she was a professional and that it would all work out. Well, I was wrong. I don’t think anyone would be happy with what she had«created», and after some attempts to fix the look, I just asked her to blow it out straight since she just wasn’t getting it. Instead of rewashing my hair at that point, she just fried my hair with a straightening iron since it had SO much hair spray in it. I ended up with a half-straight/dead hair/awkwardly curly at the bottom mess on my head — after having spent TWOHOURS at this place. All I have to say is I’ll be sticking to my usual salon and I’m just glad she didn’t have a pair of scissors!

Overpriced for an average salon. Can’t complain about anything in particular. Staff was courteous, my hairdresser was sweet. But overall I felt like I overpaid — i did just go in for a trim after all, and my wallet came back 85 bucks lighter.

Ok is a good description of this place. The décor downstairs is nice, but the upstairs is not as great. The receptionist I got a chance to meet was extremely fake. As in smiling with her mouth, but hating with her eyes. But I did not go there for the décor and receptionist. I went for the cut, so moving along … The cut was ok. Not fantastic for $ 80(that included tax and tip). The stylist was very nice but again I was not there to make friends, I was there to come out feeling fantastic. I have very short, easy to handle hair but there was no «WOW» to the cut. I will move along, and try another place.

Meh… Went here a few times. I think Afif himself is quite good but a bit of a control freak. The last time I went there, he took over to finish my haircut from his associate. She was visibly humiliated and I felt uncomfortable.

After having good experiences with aesthetician at Afif, I decided to treat myself and get a pedicure($ 40). Getting a pedicure here is the ultimate experience! Cinzia did my pedicure. She brought me downstairs in the spa room where she had me sitting up on the spa bed– yes, you have your spa room instead of sitting on a massage chair like in other places with other people hustling and bustling about around you. The room was cozy, super clean, stacked with the latest magazines and air-conditioned! A bubbly warm foot soak was prepared for me in a portable pedicure basin and Cinzia presented a large box of OPI polishes for me to choose a polish. Also, you get a complimentary beverage– I had a delicious cappuccino dusted with cinnamon. Cinzia took her time with my pedicure and used great products to ensure my feet were left soft and supple. The foot massage was heavenly and lasted a good amount of time. My nails were done to perfection and I truly loved how my feet were taken care of. The best part was that my pedicure lasted for almost two months! If you’re looking for the true spa pedicure experience, ask for Cinzia at Afif Salon, you won’t be disappointed.

Friend of mine recommended this place. Leah takes care of me, and makes my hair look solid. Been going there for almost 2 years, so you can bet I am happy.

Of all the hair salons I’ve visited in this city(I’m a bit of an addict) this is by far the best for colour, cut and style. I have incredibly curly hair(which I straighten most of the time) and so a stylist who can create highlights that stand out amidst my curly mop while not looking to stripy in a straight-do deserves a world of credit. When you call, ask for Jennifer!
