Let me start by saying I’ve never had the privilege of tasting their food. Every time I attempt to try this place it’s always closed. I go there during regulars hours and I can never find it open. I’ve tried 3 times already. Needless to say, if you’re going to close your restaurant when it’s supposed to be open try to let the public know somehow, maybe put it as the voice mails on your phone. I’d be willing to try it if I had the chance.

Best thai in surrey. Food is very tasty. Service is good. Best value is during lunch special. Dinner a bit pricey. Only bummer here is they charge extra for take out and their portions could be a bit bigger for the price.

Love this place, delivery is prompt and arrives hot. Eating in is better, nice variety of options and flavors. Décor is nice and the staff are very friendly.

Delicious food! We went for lunch. The lunch special was a great price. For 8.50, you get soup, spring roll, salad, and an entrée. I had cashew tofu(in place of chicken). Everyone at the table loved their meal and the service was fast!

My girlfriend and I always come to this place for dinner. We love their selections with photos at the back to pick whatever we want to try. Up till now after more than 10 times coming to this place, the quality of their food stays as good as every time we visited. We usually order the Goong Woon Zen.(Stir-fried prawn with glass noodle, cucumber, spicy sauce) We will try 1 or 2 different dishes each time. We also love to order their deep fried banana for dessert. We have also been trying out their lunch special $ 8.5 combo deal for a while. Very good combo for myself indeed with spring rolls and salad.

Authentic Thai Food! Only went in for take out, and for the first time. The green curried rice with chicken and the tom yum soup were very great. As a side dish my family and I got spring rolls that were also very crispy. We were full after eating only half of the food but couldn’t quite stop eating because of the taste. We would revisit and consider eating in next time. The staff seemed very polite and I would enjoy being in their company.

Great tasting food options are included in the lunch specials. Defiantly good value. Rice portion is quite small. Something to improve: add bit more rice to lunch specials. Service: always great as staff attend to you with a Thai smile.

Moving from Vancouver we struggled to find a new thai restaurant. Until we found Thai by Thai. Great service, delicious food and reasonable delivery times. They always accommodate requested changes which is so helpful.

Thai by Thai is another one of those places you just drive by without ever giving it a second thought. As key as location is, word of mouth is more important. I was told about this place by some friends who had visited Thailand and absolutely loved the place. To be honest, I’ve only had Thai food a on handful of occasions, so my experience with it isn’t as great as other foods. That being said, my friends raved about this place and how much they always looked forward to coming here. Be warned, parking is pretty limited here and very tight.

This used to be my go-to place for Thai food in Surrey until I noticed a change in the servers and management the past couple months. The usual managers and workers are no longer there — I’m not sure if there was a change in ownership or what exactly happened, but the usual service and workers have suddenly disappeared. The food used to be awesome, but the past couple visits have been really disappointing. I really loved their green chicken curry and my boyfriend loved their cashew chicken but both lack flavour and are really greasy now. The service has also gone sour. The managers don’t know their menus and not accommodating to request, the new staff are not trained well, and the service is not as friendly and welcoming as it once was. I may go back once more and hope that things have gone back to the way they are, but I’m super disappointed in the service and food coming from this restaurant now.

Ordered delivery tonight and got it within 20 minutes! Pad Thai is excellent and I can’t wait to go back and try more of their specialty menu items.

Let’s just say if I were craving Thai food and was in Surrey, this is the place I’d go. This place was pretty busy when we arrived which is always a good sign while visiting a new restaurant. We were seated promptly but the food did take a while to arrive. Pad Thai and Fried rice were really good. I don’t experiment much so these are the two dishes I order by default at every Thai restaurant, so I know my Pad Thai pretty well! Tip: they take their chillies seriously. If you order your dish«hot» be prepared for a seriously spicy dish. The servers were courteous and checked up on us a few times. Although the food did take a while to arrive, I guess it was worth the wait. I love the cozy ambiance too!

This is my favourite thai restaurant in Surrey. Do not let the size of the restaurant deter you. The quality of the food coming out of here is amazing. We’ve done take out and dine-in options and have never been disappointed. My personal favourite is the go-to-staple Pad Thai. It’s very tasty!

The food is amazing! Food is very flavourful and the aromatics is amazing. We had the green curry with chicken. It was great but the odd thing was there were green peas in the mix as well. Definitely not the norm at most Thai restaurants I have eaten at. The satay chicken was perfectly grilled and moist. The peanut dipping sauce was a rich, creamy texture. The sticky rice with mango slices was the perfect ending to the meal. This is probably the most famous Thai dessert for anyone to try. The sweet coconut infused warm rice matched well with the cool slices of mango. Service was good. We were checked up on regularly. Food arrived at a reasonable pace. Ambiance is nice. They have the Thai theme going on. My only complaint is what they show on TV. I do not think the staff are paying attention to what is playing. I was eating my meal and watching a pest control show. I felt a little sick when the show zoomed into a mummified? beaver/huge rat/rabbit…I paid, left and had to go clear my mind. Amazing food and service. For those who cannot stomach certain TV shows, do not sit facing the TV or ask staff to change the channel!

After reading all the positive reviews, we decided to try It out. It was very delicious and fresh tasting. We tried the prawn cakes– different but tasty– and a prawn eggplant curry which was excellent. Very flavorful. Lastly, we had a red prawn curry which was only ok. The balance was slightly off and it was too sweet. Service was great and they do serve alcohol now. I wish we tried this place sooner!

My wife and I love this place – from our travels to Asia, the tastes are authentic here and delicious. They have evolved as a restaurant – it took quite awhile to get a liquor license and ‘mild’ used to mean hot. However, this year we have noticed that they control how spicey the food is – if you have someone in your house who can’t eat spicey food, they will appreciate it. Even with the fire removed, the flavours are delicious and the spices are wonderful. I have had some decent Thai in the Lower Mainland, but this place is wonderful – our favourite.

Seeing how there’s a shrine with a portrait of their Thailand king right at the entrance, there seemed a strong sign of respect for their nation, and already a robust but subconscious impression of how authentic the Siamese dishes were to become. I liked how this standalone restaurant interior flew my nostalgia back into the new Siam and the interesting outskirts: embellished elephant statues, illustrated adage of their history projected on the walls, and rusty dark wood appearances, all surrounding me in an arrangement I cannot explain but can only remember. Maybe it was the quaint setting of Pattaya that called out to me, I’m not sure. The large Tom Gha soup is one of the best I have tried, ordered with chicken that comes with a plethora of simmered vegetables stewed in with the signature aroma of lemongrass, galangal, coconut milk, kaffir lime leaves, mushrooms, and chili peppers. The result: a stimulating spicy-sour light-creamy kick. The red curry was also a cradle of flavors, and I enjoyed how there was a notch more of coconut cream giving its not-too-thick-or-thin consistency; it went perfectly on top of their fluffy coconut jasmine rice. The green bean stir-fry with vegetables and chicken sizzled and spiced; everything in the medley danced with a salt and chili nuance, crunchy or tender, and as well, well paired with coconut jasmine rice to balance out the fired up taste. Having thai iced tea was just as bittersweet and chilled as the ones served by street vendors in Bangkok, minus drowning in my own sweat under their fiery weather. The staff had nice people serving the meals, attentive to our water glasses. It was funny though how the soup was served without serving bowls and spoons at first; a bit of a tease to hunger, actually. We took a bit more effort to flag down our waitress probably because their front counter sidewall was high and decorated. The price is right, and a lunch deal of $ 8.50 that’s absolutely my plan to try. As I left I caught their sign that says no MSG, and I grinned. I will be back for more.

This place is THEBEST!!! I’ve tried almost every thai places in lower mainland. This place is winning! Very authentic, and yes when don’t mess with their hot stuffs. Even their medium is HOT for average people. But that’s how thai should be! HIGHLYRECOMMEND!

Pros: Clean, authentic tasting food, Thai beer and deserts are fantastic, good sized portions, reasonably priced and a decent«Thai» aura about the Resto. Cons: limited parking, short staffed, very VERY spicy(not that this is bad but be warned a «medium» spiced papaya salad tastes like Extra Hot !) I will definitely come back here, small, nice And busy Thai food gem on Scott Road.
