The other commenters are right: $ 16 for a men’s cut in downtown Ottawa is a good deal. Especially considering the care they take, including a straight razor shave with hot shave cream around the edges. The problem is the wait time. With only two barbers working, it was a 45 minute wait.

This was hands down the best hair cut I have ever gotten!!! They were so professional, they really took the time to get it exactly right. I will be coming here every time!

For $ 16 in the heart of downtown you really can’t go wrong. Since the barber shop closed in the Rideau Centre, this is where I go to get my hair cut when I am in town. The staff is friendly, the quality of the cut is good and the price is fantastic. My only complaint is the hours — you have to get in before 4pm or it is shut down.

There’s not a better shop in all the city. Patrick Shanks is my barber and always will be. Great place, clean, professional, reasonable in cost and fantastic in terms of ambient satellite music. There’s not a better shop in town, bar none.

I went there for a haircut last week and had no trouble finding it. Even though it is in a basement location there is the barber pole on the street and a sign as well so you can’t miss it. It’s a simple 1 room location and was fairly busy. There are 2 barbers, on man one woman. I had the man do my cut and it was functional, what I would call a 2 week haircut. It was functional, not to great but at $ 16 bucks I can’t complain as this is downtown and many shops are pricier than that. Next time I will pass on it though as I prefer barbers who give you a 4 week haircut(I consider that top quality).

This is my go to barber shop in Ottawa. It seems out of place in its downstairs location, enough that I questioned whether I was in the right place the first time, but the barbers are friendly, the service is quick and the haircuts look good. Two barbers run the place, one guy and one girl, and I’ve used both multiple times with great success. Either barber can give a great haircut well with minimal direction, «a bit shorter and cleaned up» or with detailed instructions. Each haircut ends with a straight razor to clean up your sideburns and neck(but they won’t do shaves) and the price is a very reasonable $ 16(cash only but there are ATMs at the bank across the street). Ottawa is a town with a ton of barbers, and I’ve tried a good number of them, but I keep coming back to Victoria’s. The only thing to keep in mind is they don’t take appointments so when you walk in you could be in for a wait if it is busy.
