I went to Thi Fusion for supper last week after this place was recommended by a friend. My cousin and I both had items from the work: she had the curry and I had the lemon grass. I went with spices level 8, which was a little spicy but not too hot. The flavor was ok, nothing great. The portion was a little on the small size as well. The noodles though were well cooked(not over and mushy) and the service was good. I’ll give this place another try, maybe to try something else. My cousin said the curry was very good.

Came to Thi Fusion for lunch with co-workers a week ago. The décor is very modern and beautiful and the lighting was great. We had made a reservation, so we were seated in the middle of the restaurant but closer to the bar. It seems like a very small restaurant. The service was fairly quickly, but the waiter couldn’t remember who had ordered what so he was constantly going around the table asking who had ordered this or that dish. I had the Korean steak bento lunch box. I took my steak medium rare and it was cooked just the way I like it, so I was impressed with that. My only disappointment was that the portion was small for the price. I also had a wonton soup which was delicious. The rest of my group seemed to all enjoy their food, so we will likely be returning. I certainly want to try some of the«on the Wok» dishes, they looked delicious!

Yum! What a great dinner spot, filled with fresh ingredients and kind staff. My friend and I came here for a late dinner around 8pm, and my first thought was that is was quite romantic and lounge-like. The décor is sleek and modern with beautiful globe lighting. I found it a little too dim lit for my preference, but it would certainly set the mood if that’s what you’re looking for! There were no booths available when we walked in, so we were offered either a seat at the bar, or a high table(which was lovely and not uncomfortable like some bistro tables). Fortunately, one of the parties left and our server immediately asked us if we’d like to switch to the booth, which I found very thoughtful. I started off with the Tom Yum Gooang soup and it was delicious! Our server recommended the shrimp, and it was a great choice. I ordered the Pacific Rim salad as my main, and it was absolutely stunning. The presentation was beautiful, and the salad was fresh, crisp, and delectable. The Asian-inspired dressing was nutty and flavourful, and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Overall my experience here was pretty awesome. Our server was great and the food was delicious. I will definitely come back when in the area!

If you read the review that I wrote right before one, you’ll see that I’ve really been Thaiing one on lately. You know how it is, when you’re seriously craving that kind of intense spice(heat and flavor) plus that slightly sweet & rich coconut milk, combined with fresh, crunchy vegetables and glass or rice noodles or hell, even jasmine rice. It’s good for the soul, you know? It’s a chic, urban space, kind of dark, kind of loungey(booths!). The menu is incredible, truly something for everyone here. And it’s not just Thai. There’s a little representation from Vietnam, China and Japan, too. When I asked our really nice waitress about vegetarian options, she pointed out options. Some things do have fish sauce, so be sure and ask. I went for the Tom Yum and added tofu, which I suggest you do as well because they season the tofu so well and it’s chewy, not deep fried. You can order on 1 – 10 scale of spiciness and I ordered 10. It wasn’t the hottest I’ve ever had, and I could have probably added a bit of hot sauce, but seriously, the heat level was pretty damn right. I was less enamored with the veggie spring rolls because they tasted a bit too starchy, while I prefer more fresh, crunchy ingredients. That said, my main dish was so damn good, I really don’t even care. More of a note to self to not order these again. Cheers to a great wine list, too! I even found a Valpolicella, one of my favorites and really rare to find in an Asian fusion restaurant. I really enjoyed my experience here and won’t hesitate to return, especially for a later evening dinner when I land after 6 because it’s not too far from the airport!

Staff 5⁄5: Make no mistake — the staff here make the restaurant. On my first trip, the staff went out of their way to explain the menu and the options for different eaters(vegan, vegetarian, etc). We had a minor issue during the meal, and once they realized(we didn’t even know), they made it right immediately. Food 4⁄5: Pad Thai is good, has flair and taste. Not too heavy. Décor and atmosphere is definitely fusion and modern with pop hits playing over the speakers.

I was first impressed with the atmosphere of thifusion. I enjoyed the way the menu was laid out and choice of options for Pad Thai. The food was decent however, my girlfriend did not enjoy the fact that her shrimp dish only had 4 shrimp in it. My opinion dramatically changed when I ordered a 10 $ scotch to find it more than half diluted with water. Shame on the bar tender and management that should catch this kind of thing.

It was our first time visiting this restaurant. We ordered 2 dishes«From the Wok». For $ 15, you choose the type of noodles, the sauce, and the meat/veggies you want. The names of the sauces were a bit confusing(e.g. Pad Thai and Chow Mien were names of sauces). In the end, I ordered rice noodles with shrimp in XO sauce. My boyfriend ordered vermicelli with seafood, also in XO sauce. My plate only has 4 shrimps(needless to say, I was disappointed). His plate had 4 shrimps plus a few small scallops and squid. He also ordered a $ 10 scotch(15 years). When it arrived, we were surprised that the color was lighter than ginger ale. The taste was completely watered down. What a disappointment!

We had a chance to try several of the dishes at this place and everything that we ordered was really amazing! Compared to a lot of other places, we found that the portions were also really generous! Plus a great variety of food is on the menu — everything from sushi to pad Thai and phở, all of which were very elegantly presented. Would definitely go back — in fact we did go back two nights in a row! Staff was also very attentive and friendly!

this past valentines day my bf and I went there for dinner, he made a reservation 5 days before Feb 14th!!. We get there for dinner we are seated nice atmosphere and such… UNTIL it took our server 25 mins to take our drink orders than another 35 mins to come back to take our order for dinner so by this time I’m beyond pissed off. When I ask to speak to the manager seems like 10 mins later a woman comes to our table doesn’t identify herself just asks what the problem is, I said the problem is I want to speak to a manager! And I asked her if she was the manager she said no toe twice by this time I’m getting louder because this place is ruining my valentines day dinner. Even my bf got mad and said bring us the manager and than she finally told us she indeed was the manager!!! Are you kidding me?! I said. at this point I’m sure other tables could hear the conversation and she kept whispering which pissed us off more. Honestly own up to your shitty service and deal with the fact that 2 guests are overly disappointed.!! Will NEVER go back there And NEVER recommended it to anyone. It honestly ruined a first experience dining there!

I went to this restaurant for a work luncheon and the food was awesome. The staff was knowledgeable about spicy levels and the food looks like a work of art. Everyone in our group(there were 13 of us) got served quickly and the right food. The place was quite busy but the service was fantastic. I had the pad thai and it was great and I love that you can choose your spicy level from 1 – 10.

This is my second review of Thi Fusion, but this one is about their lunch meal. We were a party of 6 and had reservations for noon. We arrived 15 minutes early and it was not a problem. As usual, service was very good. The place was crowded and the noise level a bit more than the previous visit. I had curry chicken, heat level max(10). It wasn’t as hot as I expected, but it tasted great. My wife had pahd Thai noodles with chicken. She said it tasted OK but the noodles were a bit dry. As an Indian, she was also somewhat disappointed with a less than 10 heat level but overall, liked the meal. I know this review sounds less enthusiastic than the previous one, but I still like this place and would recommend it, especially for supper.

It was ok. For a place that’s fairly remote, I’d expect lower prices and bigger portions with more chicken, shrimp or beef. Iceberg lettuce and a bit of rice, while presented nicely, doesn’t deliver a lot of ‘punch’.

This place is a breath of fresh air for Ottawa! Great food at a very reasonable price. Excellent atmosphere, very friendly people with professional service. I would recommend this place to anyone who is in the mood for some great food. I’ll definitely be going back. Way to go, you guys got it right which is somewhat«rare» in Ottawa these days. Good job!

This new asian fusion restaurant has a very comfy atmosphere and the friendliest service. Although surrounded by windows, and on a busy intersection, they managed to design a very cozy little space. I asked for a beer, the server was able to list them off but had to go ask the bar man when I asked if one was pale or dark. The major disappointment came with the food. We ordered family style but everything was served in dinner plates and rice was served on the same plate, mixing with the sauces before we could serve it to ourselves. Although the dishes we ordered were supposed to be very different, they were basically all the same but with different sauces, which weren’t always what I’d call Asian cuisine. We ordered three dishes and two appetizers. Appetizers: sashimi(tuna), sushi roll(purple) and chicken satay skewer. Ha, that’s three not two, but they really like to save on dishes here and served the sashimi and sushi roll together so I’ll say they were one dish. The sushi and sashimi tasted like ice. Yes, they were also cold as ice. No fishy taste, just no taste. The chicken skewers were good, a little dry and the sauce was served separately, strangely enough… saving on dishes would have been appropriate here. The main dishes were all«wok dishes» where you choose the sauce and the content. We took: vegetable thai curry spice level 6 with vermicelli vegetable lemongrass spice level 6 with udon chicken and pork oxo spice level 6 with rice Portions were meager considering each dish cost $ 15. I could’t tell the meat from the vegetables in the one meat dish we took. Given the fact that we asked to be served family style, the rice, vermicelli and udon should all have been served separately. The trouble in that is that we would have seen how small the portion sizes actually are if they did that. Ok, here’s the worst: the Thai curry wasn’t. It was a yellow curry cube concoction using the same base ingredients as the other wok dishes. Finally my own caprice: there is way too much nappa cabbage in every dish. I get that it’s a cheap ingredient but it really adds no flavour and is super boring in stir-fry. Here’s the verdict. Go there for the atmosphere, maybe for drinks but don’t waste your money on their food, it’s too terrible a value.

L O V E this place! The food is awesome! My favorite is the Lemon Grass with rice noodles. And the seating, lighting and decoration … AWESOME! Now, I’m reviewing Thi Fusion on Hunt Club and Merivale. Haven’t been to the other locations yet. It’s one of those places where you can get too comfortable and lose track of time when socializing :)(well, that’s if you’re sitting in a booth :)) Oh, and the service is great, too!

We came here for lunch on a weekend with a party of six, and were seated right away. The menu is extensive, which always worries me – it seems unlikely that they can do that many things well, but hey, I liked what I had, so I’m a fan. I ordered pad thai chicken, the standby first thing I order at almost every opportunity. I also tried a friend’s korean grilled chicken. The korean marinade wasn’t particularly interesting — I’d probably downgrade my rating if that was my main entrée. My pad thai portion was huge for twelve bucks, with plenty of chicken. The sauce was a tad on the sweet side, but I like it like that. The components were balanced and everything was super fresh. I’d probably rate this place 3.5 stars, minus one half star for the korean chicken and lack of thai iced tea, plus one whole star for having wifi access for this tech-addicted American stuck without data service and missing the internet.

I was not joking when I said in my last review, that this was my «new hang out spot,» and guys, if you have not checked Thi Fusion out yet, then you are missing out! I have come to realize that this is the type of restaurant where you are not rushed. I’ve seen groups stay for an hour, and I have also seen groups stay for 3 hours. Everything is just easy-going and care free whenever I have visited. Although, the waiting times can be a bit slow, like getting your bill, or receiving food, but quickly forgotten once receiving your order. They did do something strange tonight though, which is why I am keeping them at a 4 star. They brought my order out 5 minutes before the other orders were ready. So I sat there, staring at my meal, waiting for the seven other dishes to arrive before I dug in. The ambiance is calm and dim, and there is no DJ during the day or during early dinner service. The dishes are all artistically plated with loads of color. I still admire the presentation of the soy sauce; in little dishes, freshly poured at your table. Their menu is very enticing with lots of options at reasonable prices. Alcoholic beverages are a bit high; $ 9.00, but its a nice addition to your evening. ;) Dishes ordered were: –Cucumber maki roll –Avocado maki roll –Sweet potato fries –Pad Thai with tofu Their sushi is fantastic here, totally recommend getting at least an order for an appetizer. The avocado maki roll was melt in your mouth. And they are not stingy with the side of ginger or wasabi. Sweet potato fries are a personal favorite, and also shared the pad thai, which can easily be shared between two people. For the vegetarians, you can substitute most meat dishes for the tofu. YUMMY! If you haven’t checked it out, you must!!! I heard the Phở is amazing!

This is a fairly new spot in a part of town lacking in places to eat — I’m glad to see it open and even happier to tell you all that the food is really great! They have a diverse and full menu — super tasty food — plus you can order by spice level which is a great way to satisfy all customers. Very trendy and funky décor — I’ll be going back again you can bet on it. Can’t wait to see how popular they become! 17⁄30
