Milagro Grill closed down in September 2014 :(However, the owners also own Churchills across the street. They state that they will serve some items that were served at Milagro Grill at Chuchills. I hope Churchills serves the mole enchiladas!

Came here for dinner with my dad and his girlfriend. I really have nothing bad to say, but I wasn’t amazed either. It was definitely decent. We were seated very quickly by a friendly waiter who offered us a choice between window or back area; we chose the back corner, because we were all freezing — winter in April. The menu was good, I ordered chicken fajitas — boring choice I know, but it’s my Mexican go-to. They were yummy and filling. Didn’t stand out from other fajitas I’ve eaten in the past. I remember my dad ordered an appetizer and when it arrived I realized it was a plate of taquitos — the frozen shop-bought kind. Tasty, but definitely not freshly made. The service was very friendly and consistent, and the atmosphere was good for the occasion. All in all it was a satisfying experience, can’t complain.

We were down on Richmond looking for a wine bar that got great reviews here on Unilocal but once we got there we realized that there had to be something fishy about it. So, we wandered around and found Milagro Grill. It was another scorcher out and just stepping inside the a/c was great. We sat right at the front window and had a glass of wine. The place was the only one busy on the street so we figured that it must be good. There were so many flies in the front window I was about to ask for a swatter. We ordered an appetizer that the waiter recommended. He then came back and said that they were out, not cool. At least know this. So we ordered Taquitos that were just okay. Because of the heat outside we weren’t huge hungry so that is all we ate. The service was just okay as well, definitely not the super friendly that we are accustom to in the Ottawa area. The atmosphere definitely left a «let’s go» feel, not warm and fuzzy that makes you want to stay and have another drink. Good Mexican food in Ottawa, where are you?

Where do I start… A new level of bad. Bad food, bad service, a bad table, and sneaky extra charges added to the bill. 1. No way to get in or out of the table without everyone getting up to move the table. 2. Ordered a drink and found out at the end of the night there was a $ 26+ surcharge for it. Twenty six+ dollars? Extra? Really? Surprise!!! 3. Ordered guacamole. It was okay, but chips were stale — thick & tasted refried. Main dish, vegetarian fajitas. Everything was unintentionally burnt black. Not good. I left it. I went home & made myself something to eat. In the end there was so little RIGHT that there was no point complaining about what was wrong. My feet will do the talking. If you find yourself going to Milagros. Don’t. If your whole group is going and you have no way out, eat before you go, get a table on the rooftop not indoors, and try to focus on the company and Not the food, service or table. Best of luck.

Awful… simply awful… I LITERALLY should have walked across the street to the hotdog vendor in front of the MEC store, handed him the $ 90 I just blew on this hellish meal and asked him to spit in my mouth, I would have been less disappointed.

I liked this place. This is THE place to go if you’re hungry and want a big feed of Mexican food. While I’m giving it three stars it’s more like a weak four stars. Ambiance: Casual, cute and cozy atmosphere. They have a cute roof-top patio, which is perfect for a sunny Ottawa day. Food: We started with the chicken empanadas(tasty) and had the beef chimichanga and the an assortment of encilladas — both very good but not outstanding. The portions are generous. Drinks: Margaritas are the thing to get here. The beer and wine lists are both limited but serviceable and reasonably priced. Service: Fantastic. Go hungry and you’ll enjoy!

This is probably my favourite restaurant in Westboro. It’s laid back, fun and just a little bit different. The cozy atmosphere is very warm(literally) and inviting. I really enjoyed their shrimp fajitas. Not too spicy at all but had just the right bite to them. OK, yes I went to a Mexican restaurant and ordered a seafood option… Their drinks are large and quite fun. If you can’t get a table right away just grab a seat on the bar/sports bar side of the place and down a margarita before you get to the food. Don’t do two though — you’ll need something in your tummy before you down another one of those whopppers. The service was great and the server was very helpful for my needs(nothing spicy!) and I like it when they recommend something that isn’t spicy AND good!

This is a great restaurant in Westboro. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is clean, inviting and warm. If you’re there in the summer, the upper patio is also a really nice place to dine. I usually have the chicken fajitas.

Westboro seems to be the area that is keeping Ottawa’s lounge and dinner industry fresh. Enter Milagro Grill. It’s self described as being«Mexican with Attitude» and it lives up to the slogan. The atmosphere is a mix of a lounge and dinner spot with a laid back Mexican feel. Both the lounge and dinner sides have a wonderful and original Mexican décor that isn’t too in your face. The food matches the atmosphere and can best be described as upscale Mexican cuisine that has the tried and true favourites like nachos and more classical food like epanadas. The drinks are impressive, with the bar specializing in Tequilla. It’s not a huge bar area, but they know how to make a good drink. Visiting the lounge before dinner is a great way to get the night started. Milago Grill lives up to the growing Westboro nightlife.
