Loblaws Rideau St. Pharmacy Count your pills when you get your prescriptions filled here. Accuracy varies depending on who is counting your pills and you may be missing as many as 20(or more) of the pills you are paying for!!!

Friendly staff. Had what we needed. Lineups not too long. Good value and quality product. Appeared clean. We would recommend this place.

This is a really great Loblaws. It is the one closest to me and is where I get most of my groceries. It is one of the bigger Loblaws in the city and despite its sketchy location, the inside is clean and more inviting than it’s neighbour, Metro. They have a really excellent produce section and they make a mighty fine salad, everything I’ve ever gotten from the produce department has been exceptionally fresh. When things aren’t fresh, they mark them down 50% instead of just selling them full price which is awesome. This place has a nice selection of ethnic foods, particularly Asian food including frozen phở and dim sum. I’ve never tried either of these but they sound good. Since this place is in the student ghetto they have a lot of sales on things students love. Pizza pops, frozen dinners, kraft dinner, canned food etc. What brings it down two stars is the staff here. I’ve had one exceptionally nice cashier here and I wish I remembered his name because he was hilarious. Besides him, I’ve had problems with the staff. The person at the customer service desk seems to always be gone so I have to wait forever for anyone to wait on me almost every time I use the customer service desk. The cashiers rarely even say hello, and I don’t think anyone has actually ever given me a definitive answer when I ask where something is. What really made me write this review is the frustration I experienced while attempting to drop off a prescription. It took me 10 minutes to have someone speak to me, and that was AFTER I flagged him down. I then asked him a question about iron pills, whether or not it was the type of iron recommended for iron deficiency anemia(there are several different forms of iron pills), he said«I don’t know, should help», and walked off. Besides the poor staff and pharmacist, the store itself is a great spot to find whatever you’re looking for.

One of the larger super markets in the area, this is where I do much of of grocery shopping. Nice and clean, lots of selection for many ethnic foods, but I find they are still not enough organic choices available, and they are also often in their own isle instead of with the none organic options. This location also does not have self checkout, which I really miss when shopping here. Still this is the place to go for your grocery needs when I’m this part of town.
