I was visiting this vegetarian café while on a concert tour and was totally blown away by the food. Everything is handmade and created with care and attention. The quiche was awesome and so was the wheat free brownie. I’m definitely going to stop here again when I am in town.

I went for lunch at Blossom Vegetarian Café today and I’m still thinking about the burger that I had… I had the Mushroom Romano Burger with a side salad($ 10.95 — if you just have the burger it’s $ 7.95). It was so delicious. Beware though, it is incredibly rich. The burger itself is rather soft, but it’s served on a ciabatta bun, so it doesn’t fall apart. The burger is full of cheese! They also put a lot of aioli on the burger, too much in my opinion, which made the rich burger even more rich. I would probably ask them to hold the aioli in the future. The burger also had pickled onions and arugula as toppings. The rosemary ciabatta bun was fresh, chewy and was worth all the heartache/stomachache that excessive gluten causes me :) The side salad was full of veggies: mixed greens, carrots, cucumber, red peppers, and red cabbage. I had the cranberry orange ginger dressing, which is a beautiful shade of bright pink and really sweet. I didn’t taste too much ginger in it, but it was good nonetheless. Service was very nice. You order at the cash register, pay and then they bring the food to you. You have to get your own cutlery and napkins. You can also serve yourself water from their lemon water dispenser by the cash register. When you’re done, they have these bins where you can put your dirty china, glassware and cutlery. The place is small, and I was surprised to be able to get a seat so easily around noon on a weekday. I’m surprised this place is not more popular. The café is wheelchair accessible. There is seating outdoors as well as indoors. There is no parking lot, street parking only. If this place was in a more convenient location for me I would probably eat there every week.

Might be my second(sorry Blossom) favorite vegetarian restaurant in this city. I have only been 3 times and have loved everything. Having said that, I went last week and tried their mushroom burger and I can equivocally say it is THE single best burger I have EVER had in my life! There truly are no words except run, don’t walk to try to it… the perfectly toasted rosemary ciabatta, the perfect amount of cheese, amazing secret sauce and that burger that is bigger than the bun! I can’t wait to go back mmmmm

Awesome vegetarian café! It has so many awesome choices. We ended up having the Japanese and Mediterranean lunch bowls. They were both delicious! Great ingredients, nicely presented, and tasted fresh. Wish we could come here more during our stay. We’ll be back next time we are in Ottawa.

This lovely, small café has DELICIOUS food! I’ve tried two soups, two different types of vegetarian burgers, an Indian dish, baked French fries, and dessert. Everything was flavorful, nicely presented, and reasonably priced. The setting and atmosphere are clean, colorful, and creatively designed. Blossom deserves to be very popular with vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike!

I’ve been to this cute little café a few times since it’s right beside my work. They have some gluten free menu items which is great for me. I’ve been told the burgers(which are not gf) are amazing. So far I’ve had the Korean plate, the korean/japanese salad, the Indian plate and the gf brownies. The Korean plate and the brownies are really good. As for the others, they were bland. My issue with this place is the serving size. The amount of food you get is small for the price you pay. Disappointing :(The staff is nice, the place is quaint, but quite small for eating in. I’ll still come here once in a while, but not often as it would be too pricey.

This new spot is super delicious, friendly and light. I am not veggie but I used to be and myself and my even more carnivore partner were both very well fed here. Great salads, the korean plate was great as were the burgers! The Mango juice was delicious and the treats are super yummy! Great addition to the Elgin food scene, if only it was open for dinner :)
