I literally travel across the city, almost 1 ½ hours by TTC to take my kids to this Dr. There can often be a long wait time, but any good doc has this issue and Dr. Wise tries his hardest never to turn a patient away.
He has a great sense of humour combined with knowledge and a no-​nonsense approach when needed. Also not only does every kid get a cookie from the singing cookie jar, there is a playground across the street, so if he is running behind you can take the kids to play for a few minutes (if they aren’t sick) and just check back every so often.
Another bonus is they have a yearly fee (optional) that covers non-​insurable expenses like school notes, forms and missed appointments.

Went in twice when our child was sick and left with him saying «he’s fine. He’s a child. They get sick sick. Stop worrying. Don’t get me wrong, I like taking your money but he’s fine». He said that exactly both times and both times we ended up at Sick Kid’s the next day with brutal illnesses. In our mind, he resents his patients and has lost the passion for his job.
