Just like so many girls have confessed that they are Sephora addict, I also want to confess that I am Sephora addict. I love this particular location because the staff is great. They don’t bother you or push you into buying vague and over hyped stuff that you probably don’t need. Ask for any kind of sample… no matter what, they will create it for you.

I’m a Sephora addict. Not my favorite location. A few bad apples ruined my experience. They desperately need some renovations. On another note, Rae is an amazing skin care advisor!

I confess I am a Sephora addict, it takes everything in me not to at least dip in for a quick look at what’s new little own fork out for my next cosmetic indulgence. That being said this location for some reason is on the lower end of positive experiences I have had at Sephora. I find it a little harder to find the knowledgeable service I’ve come to expect from the brand at this location, don’t get me wrong the staff is courteous and friendly but I found they knew less about the products I was inquiring about at the time. For the location and considering it’s Yorkdale mall I would expect it to bigger but I find it rather small and on the disorganized side as many times I had to venture to another location to acquire the product I was searching for. All that being said its still Sephora and I’ve already revealed my weakness for it so ill very likely be back when shopping at Yorkdale I know they’re bound to have something that will interest me

I was blown over by the service I received at my last visit to Sephora. I am normally a Mac Cosmetic user. Lately my foundation has been looking really bad on my face. I arrived and approached a sales associate(Raine) for help. She was amazing!!! I told her what I was looking for and she performed a skin analyses to find out my perfect make-up shade. Then she showed me products that carry my shade. Next we discussed which ones would be best for me. Next she proceeded to apply the two foundations that I wanted to try on my face. I told her it still made my skin look dry. She proceeded to ask me a lot of questions about my skincare. I told her everything and she informed me that the clinique moisturizer(the yellow one) really isn’t a moisturizer. She told me what to exchange my brand new moisturizer for and then addressed my issue with my dry skin. She performed a three step cleansing process and showed me these great pads to use that exfoliate your skin. After cleansing and exfoliating process, she explained why I should be using a make-up primer. We used the primer on my skin before the foundation and it made a huge difference. My skin looked smooth and gorgeous again. I bought both the primer and the exfoliator. As soon as my current face wash runs out I will try the one she used on my face. I am so grateful that she spent over an hour with me. She taught me a lot about my skin and how to take care of it. She also showed me how to quickly fill in my eye-brows. Before it would take me 10 minutes to do. If I keep having great experiences like this, I will definitely become a Sephora girl instead of a Mac Follower. Thank you Raine for an amazing experience!!!

I frequent this location once a month and am going to reconsider. Probably better to shop online. I went into the yorkdale location with a list of approx 10 products. Tons of staff & was only asked once for help. The salesgirl did not seem like she wanted to help. Went on to find some of items on my own. I asked the benefit brow girl where I could locate a brush to test powder-she replied that she didn’t work for Sephora. I ended up only purchasing 2 items. I then went to Holts to purchase the remainder. The staff at Sephora could learn some customer service etiquette from Holt Renfrew staff, HR staff informed me on Sat there is a big sale 10% off and reserved all of my items-just pick up & save. Even get a makeover! I remember when Sephora was a fun place to shop. It’s gone to the dogs! Cranky staff who don’t want to be there. They all socialize with each other. They forget why they were hired. Maybe if sales slip More when VIB customers like me shops at Holts & Murale, maybe the manager of this location will care. It’s all about bottom line. I even thought it would be nice to shop early on a Wed-approx 15 staff but service sucked.

I had my makeup done here, and the makeup artist did a fabulous job! She was really careful with the application, and all the cosmetics used seemed like good quality. The result spoke for itself. I felt attractive and was ready to party! She gave me useful makeup tips too. Too bad I don’t remember who she was.

This location has a bunch of lazy ass people working. The Clinique cosmetics section is empty and I found myself looking through the drawers for anything that may be in stock. Funny because there’s so much stock in those drawers and no one stocks the shelf with them. I went there one week and asked for a product. The chick didn’t even bother checking and told me no they don’t have anymore. The next week the exact products were still not stocked and I asked another girl to check. She thoroughly went through the drawers and found some. There were lots of some colors but none of them were on the shelf. Sometimes the shelves are just so dusty and you figure with all the so called sales people doing nothing at all they could dust the shelves. This is probably one of my least favorite Sephora locations.

This location is ideal if you prefer to shop undisturbed for hours on end. On the plus side, you can slather on gobs of priceless anti-wrinkle cream before a salesperson will look at you twice! This look is reserved for customers guilty of using up all the overpriced sample products, so the greeting might be a bit more icy than you’re used to. The good points: this store always seems to have a lot of sale stock, so you can purchase a lip gloss that costs less than your monthly paycheck. This is a great place to practice your beauty routine(including perfume), because you will be left alone with time to spare! No pesky staff to interrupt your prep for a night out on the town! If you make it to the cash register, you’re bound to be treated with a smile, although the occasional blank stare isn’t so uncommon either.

I frequent this location a lot. It’s close to home and(usually) has the products I love in stock. I will agree with Roma that the salespeople are not always available and they don’t always ask if you need help. Sometimes they’re super friendly and make my day; other times, I wonder if I walked into their living room and demanded they help me with the attitude I receive. The cashiers though have always been extremely nice to me. I also love that they’ll give you tips or suggestions when knowledgable on the product you’re purchasing.

Sephoras are the same pretty much everywhere, although there are just a couple of things that set some apart; customer service and cleanliness. This location is extremely lacking in customer service. I haven’t had a satisfactory experience at any of my few visits, barely a smile, no asking to help me. As far as cleanliness goes, the testers are usually in the wrong spots, and the kleenex and rubbing alcohol are usually absent. This Sephora isn’t one that does the chain justice.
