Love visiting this place when I make trips to Toronto! I always end up buying boxes of sweets to bring home. Certainly the best Persian bakery. Great place to stop for dessert! However the staff could be a little friendlier. :)

I usually hang out with my Persian friend here. The café is spacious and brightly lit. There’s always some Persian music playing in the background and what captured my attention this time was the cute Red Rose paintings on the ceiling. Their menu consists of more than just cake and tea. Their Majoon, Café Glacé and the saffron flavoured ice cream are amongst my favourites.

I love my pastries, so when I discovered this place it was great! I love that they will give you a sample of any of their pastries if you want to try them, the ladies that attend you behind the counter are very friendly. The selection of coffee is typical for a pastries place, the Napoleon Cake is my favorite! The atmosphere is very down to earth and has a homey feel. I have been back several times and always go when I am in the area.

This is one of my favourite Persian pastry shops in Toronto. Why… Why not?! Highlights: — They got a wide variety of pastries and cakes that are made fresh. — They also have a good variety of raw and roasted nuts. They have some of the best pistachios you could find in Toronto… four variety of just pistachios to choose from! — They probably have THEBEST Persian tea that you could enjoy with your favourite pastries right in the store. — On a random note, they also got a pretty clean bathroom if you ever wish to use it while you’re in the store Tips: — Red Rose does not accept credit cards. Cash or debit only.

I would say it’s the best Persian pastry sit down place in Toronto except I don’t know how valid that would be since I only know of this one! Their pastries might not be the BEST but if you’re not looking to buy boxes and boxes for Eid and just want to try a couple little pastries to get that craving out of the way, this is the perfect spot to come. Trout pretty much summed it up here: 1) Zulbia Bamiyeh with tea 2) Napolean 3) Rollete — Kind of like a swiss pastry roll 4) Persian saffron and pistachio ice cream 5) Faloodeh Great place to just have a chat with someone and have some refreshing persian tea as well.

Pretty good for Persian pastries in Toronto. This is a well managed small café/bakery that gets pretty busy in the summer. If you are going for tea time, try it with Zulbia & Bamieh(zulbia for example is a form of deep fried dough covered in honey or syrup). If you are looking for something slightly more healthy, the Napoleon is also a good choice at the Red Rose. In case you are trying to cool down, Persian ice cream is pretty good at this selection. The faloodeh(noodle ice cream) is particularly satisfying, and goes really well with lemon juice or sour cherry syrup on top. The saffron ice cream is also a good choice.
