I eat this since I was a kid. You can buy this in La Ronde, Food Truck festival and Old-Port. For me it’s a sweet snack. I like the one with Nutella and Fruits. Who don’t like Nutella… Sometimes, they give you a little bit more if no big line up, but sometimes you get a small portion. I wish that they can make it a little bit bigger and give a little big more ingredients on it.

I’m surprised this place doesn’t get better reviews. What is a beaver tail you might ask? It’s a delectable Canadian fried dough topped off with your choice of sauce and toppings. It’s a little fried piece of heaven that can be eaten at any time of day. This place gets extremely busy late at night on the weekends but is worth the wait!

As a visitor from Texas, our family in town treated us to these delicious treats. These beaver tails are kind of hard to describe, but it’s like a flat doughnut topped with various goodies. We ordered about 3 – 4 of the different flavors, but I definitely liked mine the best, which was the maple one! Now that I’m back home in Texas, telling my family here doesn’t do any justice because we just don’t have anything like it. Guess we’ll just have to visit again soon!

What is a Beaver Tail? It’s like a flattened doughnut that’s like a foot long and about 4 inches wide. They are made fresh to order so you will have to wait for it but because it’s nice and hot it’s worth it. These things are anything but good for you but who cares? You only live once and as long as it’s not your staple, once in a while won’t hurt as long as they are only a treat and not a way of life. What topping would you like for your tail? Well have a look at the menu. Yes, those prices are in Canadian dollars. These things are not cheap and you are not at a fair. For what it’s worth they are generous with the toppings but ya these things cost like you are buying a submarine except that there is no meat and they are about a quarter as filling. They are a little expensive for the amount of food you get but they are good. I just like them plain really, but the Nutella would be nice too.
