Worth the search — Café Zin-Zin is a nice break if you have some shopping to do at Home Depot. All the food is made fresh and the owner is a serious French chef. We’re not talking crap sandwiches wrapped in plastic, no no. Here you will find table service, crisp salads, home made sausages, roast pork sandwiches, freshly baked cakes and desserts — all served with panache. This place really has style and the food is quite good. To get in, from the parking lot at the back of the Home Depot building, walk in the front door of the old RCA factory at 1001 rue Lenoir, go up one flight of stairs and follow the hall. It’s hard to miss, lots of signs will guide you. It’s a gorgeous 1920’s era brick building in the middle of the complex with light streaming in from all sides. You might even pretend you are a factory worker making wind-up gramophones back in the day as this was the old cafeteria building. It’s decorated, appropriately enough, with records everywhere. A fun visit to a place you’ve probably never seen!
