Kids took me for Father’s Day. Great way experience! Food was fresh, well presented and very tasty. While some here complain of slow service, I would remind them that everything(except sauces, biscuits, etc.) is made at the time of order and this takes time. Nothing nuked and the quality shows! Server was excellent despite being very busy. Well done! Hope to be back soon.

Just came back from having a late brunch, practically lunch from The Belmont and it was delicious! The food plating, flavours, mmm nothing bad to say and I definitely plan to go back! The staff are super busy so there was a bit of a wait, That would be my advice; either go when you’ve got time to spend, roughly 1 – 2 hours or head off peak which would probably be earlier in the weekends. We went around 12:30 on a Sunday and it was packed and were waiting at the door for awhile. It started dying down around 1:30 though and the staff was super sweet. They went above and beyond when I wanted to get my leftovers packed. They had accidentally thrown out my leftovers so they so kindly made a new buckwheat crêpe Benedict with salmon — also a recommend btw, I was so surprised! Again, a great find in kw, hadn’t realized the revitalization in Belmont village so I’m super glad that The Belmont is helping to define the Belmont village culture Also the menu prices and quality are really a steal! the buckwheat crêpe and smoked salmon was an amazing $ 13!

This is my ideal kind of place for Sunday brunch: big windows to let in the daylight, cozy atmosphere, and great food! I was very impressed with the huevos rancheros. The housemade chorizo sausage between the tortilla layers was a delicious addition! The only downside is that there isn’t a huge amount of seating, and tables can fill up quickly. We were lucky enough to get a table almost right away when we arrived around 11 am but within 15 minutes there was a lineup out the door!

I ordered a biscuit benedict($ 14) and my boyfriend ordered their buckwheat crêpe($ 13) and they were both really delicious! This was fresher than any benedict that I’ve tried in Toronto. Of course the hollandaise was rich and delicious but the dish was still overall very balanced and fresh. The biscuit benedict came with a side of choice as well(potatoes, salad, or fruits). The buckwheat crêpe was so good that I’ll probably order than when I go there next. Favourite brunch place in KW area so far :)

This is a very nice brunch spot in the centre of belmont village. Service is friendly and attentive. The food selection is quite creative and contemporary. I ordered the Buckwheat Crêpe Benedict with melted cheddar, hollandaise, and smoked salmon. Who knew eggs benedict can be great tasting and not make the plate all that messy at the same time!

This review is for brunch. Recently went on a Sunday around 12:30pm. Place was full but we still managed to grab a table. Comfortable yet modern décor. Friendly unpretentious service. I liked that the menu wasn’t too large, but it still covered all the bases. Portions were perfect. I had the fried chicken and cornmeal waffle with maple sriracha sauce– delicious, would definitely order again. Everyone loves the food. This place is on the«keep» list.

3.5 Stars. Came here for Sunday brunch around 1pm with a party of 6. We waited about 20 minutes for a table. The server informed us they were out of smoked salmon, which is what half of us wanted to get. Mind you, brunch service is until 2pm so I guess that’s fair since we were on the tail end. I had the biscuit eggs benny with peameal bacon, side salad, and an additional buckwheat crêpe($ 2). The eggs benny was good(could’ve been more generous with the hollandaise on my plate), salad was a bit lacking in dressing, but the crêpe was excellent! Service was good as well. Overall, it was a good experience though I wouldn’t rave about the food. Maybe I just didn’t get the right thing this time!

The first time I came, I would have given the place 4 stars. I had a vegetarian crêpe that was pretty good but seemed overpriced. Today I had a crêpe with a sunny side egg and salmon, and it was excellent. Aside from being tasty, the portion was generous, so overall it was a good value. The Belmont has a nice atmosphere, which is really at its best on a sunny day and when it isn’t too crowded. I think I’ll come more often.

Probably the best brunch in Kitchener(unless you’re looking for a greasy spoon) You get what you pay for — in this case a treat. We go often and it’s consistently good. My recommendations are the Huevos rancheros, breakfast tacos or the sometimes special the Diane.

My husband and I went to The Belmont for dinner in the late fall. Our server was incredibly attentive and friendly. She took the time to explain the menu and made some great recommendations! We ordered several small plates and they were well timed so that we were never overwhelmed by the amount of food we were given at once or left sitting with no food in sight. Overall, a lovely experience — I’ll be back for sure!

Came in first time to try this place. Was told to wait 10−15min for a table by the bar area. The middle aged woman with short hair started giving us attitude when I kindly asked to look at the menu while we wait. She was just walking pass with the utensils after bussing a table. «Ya, hold on ok?!» She said. She got the menu for us and when I said«thank you» to her, she just responded with a ‘Ya’ Horrible experience. I got so ticked off right after. 2 bad attitude strikes in a row! From the same waitress! I REALLY wanted to try your menu items Belmont. Now I REALLYDONT. I thought these services only existed in a ghost town! Never have I been treated this way at a restaurant!

Fantastic! Let me break it down for you: 1 star for the menu 1 star for the execution and presentation of said menu 1 star for ambiance 1 star for service 1 star for smarts Went last Saturday at 11 am, there were four of us. The décor is simple, crisp, classic French bistro and the music is the perfect level and balance. I found the restaurant was roughly ¾ full, it seats roughly 30 not including the bar. Service was efficient and pleasant, moving on… I purposely chose to not show the menu due to the fact it is a seasonal menu and will rotate from time to time. I can tell you there are 2 or 3 varieties of eggs benedict, 3 crepes, huevos rancheros, chicken & waffles & a standard bacon & egger. Three at my table had eggs benny, huervos for me, everybody LOVED it. Eggs individually poached to specific hardness when asked, flawlessly done with no complaints. Smarts are for sticking with crepes(they were formally the Village Creperie), they have been making brilliant French crepes for years. I’m goin back this weekend, here’s pictures. I’m done… Who the hell goes for brunch at 1:30??? Dummies that’s who.

Went to go to The Checkerboard the other day and figured we’d try The Belmont for brunch instead. We Arrived around 1:30/1:45 not realizing they closed at 2, until the waitress turned some guest away at 1:50. I found this odd especially with the high prices. Most places would«seat» until 2 pm rather than turn guests away when it got close to 2 pm. We got our food quite quickly, before 2. I had the Veggie Crêpe and my guest had the Peameal Eggs Benedict. The Benedict was reasonably priced I thought at $ 13 but my guest said there was something off about it, the biscuits were also rock hard. I found my crêpe to be quite delicious lots of goat cheese and fresh veggies, but the price was a little steep at $ 15. That being said I don’t mind paying a higher price if the service goes hand in hand with the food quality. I wasn’t brought sugar with my coffee and my water was only topped up once through the whole meal. Once the clock struck 2 the servers started conversing across the restaurant while getting the place set up for dinner. I was trying to enjoy my brunch, I don’t care if you made good tips the previous night. The cherry on the cake is when another lady whom seemed to be working maybe in the kitchen and suggested to the two servers they all go for a cigarette. They all did. I sat with my empty plate waiting for the server to enjoy her cigarette before she could clean my plate and give us are bill. That veggie crêpe was so delicious i feel bad for the chefs because the service just soured the whole experience. Perhaps it would be better if one was to go earlier or for dinner but chances are i probably won’t.

Absolutely wonderful. Stumbled upon this gem while in town on business. Pleasantly surprised to find abundance of choices for my gluten free requirements. HIGHLY recommend Nana’s carrot cake. I will definitely be back!
