Service was okay at best but the food was horrible. I ordered the prime rib, it came out as medium well with a side of gravy. It was tough, dry and over done. I will say the horseradish was fantastic, and was probably the only thing that made it suitable for consumption. My fiancée had the New York, and he found it alright, but very under seasoned. I wouldn’t write a review typically for this type of meal, but the $ 70 price tag is what made it. For that cost, we truly expect a better meal, we have had so much better for far less. Will definitely not be returning, or recommending.

My Husband and I received 2 gift cards for Tony Roma’s for Christmas. So we decided to give them another try tonight. We hadn’t been to this restaurant in about 5 years, because we were so disappointed with our previous experiences. Unfortunately tonight was no different. I ordered the ½ chicken with rice and seasonal vegetables. The chicken was dry and burnt and the rice was microwaved instant rice(server confirmed that it was nuked) seasonal vegetables articulated into boiled frozen green beans and carrots. It actually reminded me of bad hospital food. My husband had ribs and chicken both were dry and burnt, but he was able to eat the baked potato. Only good thing about this experience was we didn’t spend our own money. I still have $ 26.50 on one gift card if anyone wants it, we will never go back.

I sent the following email to the GM of this location four days ago and have not had the courtesy of a reply so I am now posting my review! Dear Ms. Peters, I am writing to you regarding a meal we had at the 13603 St Albert Trail location of Tony Romas. Let me first say that in the year we have been in the Edmonton area, we have eaten at a couple of Tony Romas and always had a pretty good meal. So it was a no brainer for us to chose your location of Tony Romas after we had attended an early movie at the Cineplex next door. The restaurant was far from busy when we arrived at 6:45pm — lots of empty seats. We ordered a drink(Eggnog Martini which was quite good!) and enjoyed that while we perused your menu. I already knew I was having the prime rib as that is what I have had each time we’ve eaten at Tony Romas and it has been excellent. Imagine my surprise to find out that you were OUT of prime rib at 7pm and on what appeared to be a slow night. We then ordered a starter Caesar salad to share and I asked for bread with it. Our server, Denise, asked if I wanted garlic toast and my reply was no, just plain bread please to which replied«No problem». When the salad arrived, it had four pieces of dried up toasted bread on the plate! I had ordered BREAD, not toast and to bring it without even a side of butter? And the Caesar salad had absolutely not one single bacon bit in it and only about a teaspoon of grated Parmesan on top. The lettuce was swimming in clumps of dressing and was barely edible. When Denise came back to take away the plates she asked if we were done as most of the salad and all the bread was still on the plate. I replied that I was very disappointed in the salad — no bacon bits, no more than a few shreds of parmesan and big c

Well we went to Tony’s last nite. Sat nite for dinner is busy. Upon entering, we noticed that there were several other groups waiting. We told the unsmiling hostess that we were a party of three. She told us it would be a 20 minute wait. We reluctantly gave her our name & sat down in the front lobby. Tony Roma’s hadn’t been our first choice, we had been told @ Moxies that it was at least a 45 minute wait. Tony’s is not a «reliable» restaurant choice we’ve found, they have many problems and this particular evening was no exception! The restaurant was Not packed, by any means. The problem was that there was no one busing tables!!! So there was sat, in the lobby, as we watched the ridiculous disorganization taking place. After about 15 minutes of pacing and watching all these tables sit empty while we waited, I was getting more and more frustrated with the situation. Finally I said to the stoic hostess, «either find us a table or I’m going to go clean one myself! She looked @ me with disinterest & said she found us a table. The 3 of us sat down at a booth in the restaurant side. My man & I ordered the«kickin’ shrimp» as an appie(this is our fav and the ONLY reason we continue to eat here!) and decided we’d split the 14 oz ribeye @ 38 $ a plate. Our guest ordered a double breast chicken dish with spinach. The shrimp was good and up to our usual expectations. Our main courses arrived shortly there after. Our guest began eating and said, «you know, my chicken is burnt I think!» We looked @ it and she turned over one of the breasts to reveal a burnt bottom! Who sends out burnt meat??? We called the waitress over. She began to say that she’d asked them to add this extra piece of chicken cuz it had looked kinda small. My guest quickly shut her down and said, «this is burnt and dry as dry can be!!!» «Take this back and while ur at it, send your manager over here!» Now we had finished our shared ribeye(which was nothing special @ 38 $. Including the mashed potatoes which tasted like instant!). My guest was livid. The manager arrived and was somewhat apologetic. My guest begins a tirade of complaints and explains to the manager that she won’t come here, as a general rule, becuz the place is always a gong show. The manager is starting to have trouble maintaining his composure, wringing his hands as he tries to calm down my friend. He tells her that he’ll be removing the plate from her bill and hopes she’ll give them another try @ some point. I take my turn and tell the already irritated manager, about his unsmiling hostess and how bad that is for business when u walk into a place and feel unwelcome. He says he’ll look into that as well and promptly turns around and makes a bee line for the kitchen… He returns momentarily with several«to go» boxes that my friend had requested. She’s done, packs up the majority of an unfinished meal and we wait for the bill. The bill arrives and the ONLY thing removed from our bill is my friend’s chicken, not her shrimp she’d ordered on top of her chicken or her beverage. Just a suggestion Tony Roma’s. When u have an irate customer. Remove all the guests meal, not just a portion of it!!! After all was said and done, Tony’s was a poor excuse for a restaurant last nite and I would tell anyone that this place is one to be avoided in the future.

I have been on the Tony Roma’s birthday club for the last few years so this year, I decided to try this location. They send a coupon for $ 15 and you have to use it from Sunday to Thursday of your birthday week. This location definitely looks newer and cleaner than West Edmonton Mall. Since I usually only eat here once a year, I expected to see changes in the menu. I noticed mostly how much the prices increased and now they offer more burger and sandwich options. I ordered my usual choice which went up to $ 25, St. Louis ribs and ¼ chicken with baked beans and and baked potato but the coleslaw is also good. It was good, guess you can’t really go wrong. The sides were just enough, not too generous. The waitress was friendly and efficient and wished me a happy birthday but they don’t offer any dessert or anything for the birthday. The restaurant was almost full by the time we left around 6:15 p.m. on a Tuesday so looks like this location is doing well.

I used to come here for lunch worth coworkers when I worked in the area. The food was decent, and the service quick and efficient. I say used to, because I got food poisoning from the rotisserie chicken. I haven’t been able to eat at a Tony Roma’s location since.
