Q-Nails

I use to see a girl for 15 yrs, unfortunate for myself she is now retired. I made an appointment to get my nails filled at Q nails. I will get to the point, my nails were DISASTROUS !! If you love your beautiful nails DO NOT GO IN!!! RUN! My beautiful nails are ruined. I am a Stylist as such gel is out for me, however this meant nothing ! First I was criticized for having and wanting long nails, then the nightmare began, I was drill burnt as well as primer improperly applied chemically burnt around my cuticles. Nails were filed paper thin and unevenly .I paid your 55.00 for a plain white tipped crooked uneven job ! My frustration towards all of you is one of an appalling point of view. Being in this Industry as you, STOP Speaking another language other than english while you are working in Canada !! I consider you RUDE as does everyone else! ! THEN POSSIBLY you might have a chance at client retention. Listen to your clients! Or close your doors and GO HOME !

I Love the is place. The ladies are super friendly and don’t mind that I’m not chatty. The nails always last super long and look awesome. Never takes more that an hour for a full set of gel nails

Didn’t love it.
It’s disappointing that I’ve learned to not expect too much from a nail salon in regards to friendliness, making me feel important, or overall cleanliness; but, this place was a let-​down even from a place of not-​too-​high-​standards.
I was given «the look» when I popped by on a thursday evening to have my shellac re-​done… The girls there were not interested in dealing with me from the moment I walked in, for whatever reason.
The one girl sat me down (didn’t wash her hands, and didn’t ask if I wanted to wash mine) and reached into her tool cup to start picking off my old shellac. Not a word was exchanged. She began shouting in «not-​english» at the other girl working and they began bickering. I should have left there, but I guess curiosity just got the best of me.
The rest of the 45 mins I was there the girl didn’t talk to me, other than to ask what colour I wanted. She only charged me $ 40, and I just wanted to get out of there. When I got to the car to look at my nails I could see the terrible job she had done.
All in all, it wasn’t a relaxing, fun, or quality visit. I sure won’t be back…

My friend took me here because she loves the staff and the pedicure is inexpensive. They did a great job and three weeks later, I still don’t have a single chip in my toe polish even though I play sports several times per week. What I liked is that the ladies let us hang out and visit well beyond the time that our nails were dry. It wasn’t overly busy which was in our favor, but I just appreciated not being rushed out the door.
My friend told me a story of how she would come here when her baby was very small. The staff who were not busy would voluntarily hold and comfort the baby so she could get her pedicure in peace. How amazing is that? Not that this would ever be an expectation but it just goes to show how attentive these ladies can be.
