Great place for food selection, taste and price. I wish the layout in the store would match the menu and what i mean by that is the color and everything inside looks outdated and does not make a nice setting for a date or something. But like i said, the food is great and it keeps me coming back

Just another greasy spoon on 82 Avenue. But the only place to get all day eggs. Definitely not Tasty Toms or Blue Chair Café. Décor is very dated and very plain. The place was empty at 6:00pm which is not a good sign and a strange odor upon entrance. Waitress was detached and service was so slow. Had the western pan scrambler for $ 12.50 and it was not good, eggs were scarce and the sauce was horrible and no cheese. Just paid for a pile of hash browns. They serve beer though to help you wash it down. I did like the flax toast that came with it however and the coffee was only 50 cents. My friend had poached eggs that were small. They use small eggs? I will not return but if you like greasy spoons this is for you.

I came me here with a friend for a late Saturday lunch, I asked for coffee and the mushroom burger with spicy fries and a side order of gravy. My lunch guest had the Mexican omelet with a chocolate milkshake and a pop-refil was free. The only server took our orders and came back 15 minutes later with food. It was late afternoon and it was not too busy. Final bill was 36 plus 3 tip. Overall good food, the place was renovated and it is open and clean. The music was soft 80’s rock, it was raining all day or else I would have sat on the patio. Beer and wine prices seemed a bit pricey, food orders are quite large so it was good value for typical lunch items. They did have 2 daily specials which I didn’t want to try. I would come back for breakfast.

Better than Smitty’s or Albert’s in my opinion, depending on location. This Humpty’s and the one on the west end are clean and the staff is friendly. You can still get a decent breakfast for $ 7 or less here if you’re on a budget. Just watch out for the«cheese sauce» — it’s literally that liquid orange snot that people put on convenience store nachos! Ewwww! Our server replaced my meal(which unbeknownst to me came covered with the sauce) and substituted cheddar at no extra cost. The staff was polite and friendly. Not a bad choice if you don’t want to drop big money for basic eggs and bacon. And no nasty shoestring hashbrowns here!

I am giving Humpty’s on Whyte Ave, 4 stars! I hardly ever give anything 5 stars, so 4 stars is AWESOME in my books. I like to think of myself as quite the foodie. My husband and I enjoy cooking and dining out. Unfortunately you never know what you are going to get when you go to a new place to eat. WOW! Was I ever surprised at the quality, taste and size portions at Humpty’s! Now, I had not been to Humpty’s in over 15 years; not since my Grant MacEwan days of partying and eating at 3 am. hee, hee. I was not expecting much when we decided to drop in at Humpty’s with hungry bellies. We didn’t stay long as we ordered ‘to go’. Once we got home we were both eager to tear into our burgers and fries. The burgers were beautiful. Big, juicy(not greasy), homemade patties on 2 fresh buns with crisp lettuce, perfectly cooked bacon and full flavored cheddar, topped with sautéed mushrooms. «Now this is a burger», we both exclaimed. They were big and the amount of French fries we received with the burgers was a large amount. Even the fries were crispy, which can be difficult when taking home fries in a styrofoam container. They were cut in house with the skins on and were awesome! The gravy was rich and thick, almost tasting like homemade roast gravy. My husband and I will definitely be going to Humpty’s again and trying many other items on their large menu. Please do not judge a ‘book by it’s cover’; the place needs painting and un updated look, however the food is top notch!~Ila~

Humpty’s is jut OK in my books. I don’t find anything special about their breakfasts. But their food is good. I definitely prefer Humpty’s over Dennys. The service here is usually mediocre. The servers get the job done but they tend to do the bare minimum. I tend to prefer servers who go above and beyond. Who doesn’t prefer awesome service though!!! If you’re looking for a quick breakfast, this is a good place to stop and grab and a bite.
