Gravity Espresso & Wine Bar

Love this gem that is located just off the main drag in Inglewood. The vibe is funky but approachable. I was there on a Wednesday night and it was busy-​that speaks highly to its popularity. After sampling a couple of the in house made food items I could see why!
The curry lentil and sweet potato soup was hearty and flavourful-​I could eat a large bowl and not need any meat to sustain me after this vegan dish.
The star of the show however was the flourless chocolate cake. It was like a chocolate truffle and the moistest ever chocolate cake had a baby and this was the result. I love gluten but maybe it has been taking up unnecessary real estate in my desserts!

Oh Gravity, how you continue to surprise me! Breakfast in a biscuit — whaaaat??? Peppers, cheese, meat baked into a calzone-looking…omelette? Biscuit? What is it? It’s delicious, that’s what. Be sure to ask for some homemade salsa on the side. Adds a delightful little kick.
Welcome back to Joel, who was with Gravity for the first two years they were in business. He’s happy to be back, and always happy to see you. The good folks who work here are very helpful and caring. That is another thing that makes this place special and worth coming back to.
Let’s not forget that they have almond milk for lattes (my favorite!) and adding an extra shot of their fabulous espresso makes it so rich and satisfying.
Inglewood had so many gems, but Gravity is, by far, one of those espresso (and let’s not forget the wine) that is worth going the distance for. Thanks for being awesome!

Drove by a few times when I’ve been in Calgary but never noticed it. What a fantastic place. Using Phil & Sebastian coffee doesn’t always mean that the baristas know what they’re doing but this great spot nailed it. Even better than the cappuccino I had at Phil & Sebastian’s earlier this morning. Perfectly pulled and just the right temperature. The people that work here are exceptional, so friendly and courteous. This is the main reason I go back to an establishment. Lots of people were here but still plenty of space to find a seat. Nice modern feel with a vintage edge to it. Definitely blends well with this great neighbourhood. Wish I had enough time for another cappuccino here but will go out of my way to come back to this great place.

It is a perfect spot for us home-​based business owners to hold coffee meet-​ups or enjoy delicious breakfast and lunch items. I especially like going for a hot cup of coffee after an exercise class on Saturday mornings… Lots of heart! And the owners do an outstanding job of getting involved in the community.

Nothing comes close to Gravity’s ambiance, quality and service. I love their Phil & Seb coffee and their food is always delicious.
They also have an amazing selection of scotches, beers, and wine.
Free wifi and a steady rotation of art from local galleries means you can stay here for hours enjoying the ambiance or just people watching.

I was introduced to Gravity by my friend Leor and now it has become my go-​to meeting spot with new incoming clients. I love the location and it is nice to be close to the core but not have to deal with the crazy downtown traffic.
The staff seem very dedicated to their caffeinated craft and the clientele are generally the 18 – 40 set, smart, digitally inclined, creative, conversational, and in-​tune with everything you could imagine. Hope to see this space grow someday and increase the seating capacity.

Went from Chestermere to Inglewood, just to visit this place. Two words — worth it!
I had an iced latte and my friend had a cappuccino. The drinks were great, in taste and in presentation. Customer service was great and the staff was cheerful. When I ordered the drink, I was provided with a letter mounted on a small steel post thingy to put on my table so that my drink can be brought to the right table. Classic, clever touch.
The ambiance of this place is great. Wooden furniture, gives you a raw and wild comfort zone. A book shelf, full with books and magazines — who doesnt like to read while drinking?
Sizable menu. Beer, coffee, food, wine — You wanna have it all.
They had a jazz band performing live. Not sure if its a routine, but it certainly made my day.
I will visit this place again.

Whenever I’m in Inglewood I always drop by Gravity for a latte. These guys know how to make perfect microfoam and latte art. I’m not sure where they get their beans from but their coffees taste great.
They have lots of delicious looking food in their display case which I haven’t tried yet. The cheesecake in a mason jar looks cute but I’d like a quart size please!

Really friendly staff. Really nice atmosphere. Came here Saturday night before dinner with my wife. I got the latte, she got the dolce. Both pleased.

This place is getting it right.
Friendly staff, always, even when they are busy. My favorite is the ham and apple panini and their vegan sweet, potato, lentil, carrot soup is just the most delicious thing ever.
There are great sweets, good coffee, good beer selection. Can’t ask for a better place for lunch or dinner in the area.
Ambiance is also wonderful. Local art on the walls, brightly lit space, variety of tables for big or small groups. Gravity has it all.

Returned for another gig, and once again loved the atmosphere! The girls working are so chill and comfortable, it’s an almost therapeutic experience! A full offering of coffee drinks, a nice selection of craft beer, and a satisfying selection of wine… And then the FOOD! All I had last night was a London Fog, Innus & Gunn, and a Peche Mortel, but our audience was raving about the Cheese Board, the Corn Chowder, and the Irish Cream Cheesecake!

This place is awesome! Not only do they showcase local artists and musicians but they support neighbouring non profit organizations. The staff is dynamic and kind, the variety of beverages is lovely! Keep up the great atmosphere! Definitely recommend this place!

The dolca latte is great for those who are craving something sweet. I’m more of a dark coffee guy myself and the Phil and Sebastian hits the spot for me.

Probably one of the better «chill spots» in Inglewood, Gravity Espresso & Wine Bar offers a pull out a book and read for hours vibe, without the excessive ‘Shushing’ you get at your local library.
But seriously, I often stay for the high quality solo espresso or americano. If I’m in the mood I drop in on one of the music nights which often supports a local charity by donation.
This is a place that strongly invests in its community and always has some sort of local art work displayed in the shop. Gravity is truly grounded in the community.

Gravity does an outstanding job of bringing the creative and heritage community persona of Inglewood into one of the newest spaces in the area. Well, that and they do an outstanding job of everything else they do too. Coffee, food, coffee, wine, coffee, beer, coffee — it’s all gold. Think about that mix for a second. You can get local Phil & Sebastian espresso, homestyle chilli, paninis and other coffee shop favs as well as craft beer and wine in one sitting. If you’re the mobile work and social type, you’ve just found your productivity utopia.
Above the fashionable and comfortable natural woods, concrete floor, bare light bulbs and local art hung on deep blue walls, it’s really the staff that give Gravity its one of a kind character. Everyone is so authentically friendly without even a hint of coffee/​wine/​beer/​food snobbery. Hey, when you serve fine goods, there can be a certain smug attitude that can tend to follow, but it’s only polite, friendly enthusiasm you’ll find it at Gravity. The owner, Andy, can often be found running the till, running between the kitchen and bar or just generally milling about about, chatting with the customers and remembering names. You’ll find his name mentioned in several reviews because he’s good to his customers and an all around great guy. Ok, Example!: Right now, he’s sitting out on the front patio playing with an adorable baby… Come on!!!
If you’re looking for a casual hangout over a coffee, wine or a classy pint, give Gravity a try. They’ll pull you in… at 9.81m/s². Yesssss.

Among my favorite cafes in the city to do work, enjoy coffee or dessert or simply people watch, I became a regular convert to the Gravity after my first client meeting.
Simply put, there’s a great friendly vibe here that’s just magical so to speak. The servers know what they’re doing, the food while simple, is rustic and elegant and the drinks are great (whether coffee, teas, wines etc). Even their menus are easy and self depreciating in humour… Nice touch.
Must try — the whiskey glazed ham on aged cheddar biscuits on Wednesday and the cheesecake in a jar. Really nice? Plug ins and free WiFi everywhere.

I’ve been going to Gravity ever since they opened… it’s been a great journey and they continue to improve the experience on a regular basis.
A true test of a brand is its consistency in delivery and that’s exactly what you will get there… consistency in product, taste, service and culture.
Gravity is always looking to improve and make great tasting food and coffee… mint tea will always be mint tea, you can’t improve perfection.
They offer free WiFi — and for the most part, other than me, I don’t see anyone abuse the privilege… in other words, that person who buys a single coffee, then stays all day to do their work… I don’t see them, except for me — I’ve been that guy… and I make sure I bloody well buy my lunch from Gravity — not jip out and secretly eat my own protein bar when no one is looking (seen it happen at a few places). Gravity is my home away from home…
Expensive? Compared to what… please don’t say Tim Hortons, Second Cup or Starbucks because it just isn’t true. The «experience» at Gravity is 10x that of those places. In other words, you get what you pay for.
Staff… second to none… because Andy (the owner) hires people who give a shit. That’s why. Sure, sometimes they’re shy, but they smile and they do their very best! Period.
Customers… driven, enthusiastic, artsy, sporty, entrepreneurial, humans… all great people. Some of the best conversations that I’ve had at Gravity have been with people I had never met before.
I could go to any coffee shop in Calgary… but I don’t. I drive 26k one way (form home to Gravity) just to do my work, meet a client and just have a coffee and celebrate a challenging week… (FYI — there is a Starbucks, Second Cup and Tims all within 3k of my home — but I CHOOSE Gravity)
Gravity is a fantastic place because it was designed and built with a purpose … to SERVE a community of people who believe in serving others.

How can you not love a place that has cheesecake in a jar that is to die for!
And the Lattes are awesome.
Great space for a small meeting — for me I cap it at 4. They can accomodate a larger group, however the sound is challanging and it is difficult to hear when there are more than 4 around a table.
Food specials are always tastey. Staff is always friendly.
Love spending alone time in this venue. Large windows allow for much light.
It’s a sweet spot to have a local musician provide some background music. Since the sound is challenging — it’s not ideal for musicians. But it definitely adds to the abmiance.
I book appointments and stop by when I’m in Inglewood. Definitely a favorite of mine.
