Salon M2

LOVE coming in here to get my hair done. Once you’ve found a good stylist you stick with them. I see Andrea and she is fabulous at what she does. This salon is clean, organized and very warm atmosphere. I never get to stay long enough, but love my time here. I come in from Langley and it’s worth every penny. They are very devoted to their customers and willing to put the time into the relationship. Great place!

A hidden little treasure in North Burnaby. I’ve passed this plaza a ton of times but never thought twice about this place. After looking for salons on Groupon, I stumbled upon a deal and realized it was super close to home.
Ample free parking lot parking. Small space, but clean and simple.
Andrea was sweet, she sat me down and had an extensive hair consultation. She was friendly and recommended a lot of different products. She explained each product she was using on my hair and was attentive, efficient, and genuinely listened.
After my last poor haircut, I was hesitant to try yet another new salon, but after washing my hair out and still liking how it looks — you know how your hair never quite looks as it did in the salon, especially after a wash at home — I’m quite pleased!
I will return!

I went in to get my hair coloured and was recommended by a friend. Since her ombré looked amazing I had high hopes for mine. However, instead of the ombré I told her I wanted, she gave me really bad streaks that are barely noticeable and totally NOT what am ombré looks like. (I even showed her a picture of what I wanted) On top of that, blow drys aren’t complementary with the colouring so I paid $ 100 and had to leave with damp hair! I also couldn’t even see the results in the salon because my hair was damp. Also, she didn’t condition my hair when she washed it but instead used some leave in conditioner afterwards, which left my hair extremely dry that I rewashed it when i got home.
Also, I was not informed by my hair dresser that first time customers get 20% off and I told her it was my first time too and she went over a consultation with me too because of that.
I wasted a good $ 100 and I’ve never been so unsatisfied and had such bad customer service. Getting my hair redone elsewhere.

Great hair advice and products. I am happy with my cut every time. I go every 8 weeks to get a trim. My favorite part is my hair dresser tries hard to understand what I want by listening and I really liked the consultation on my first visit. Salon looks pretty too. I have long hair and its never been healthier!

This is a great hidden gem in Burnaby. I live not too far from here but found them through groupon. This used to be a slightly ethnic salon that you felt uncomfortable in, but the previous owner has since sold off her business to three partners who also worked around the area, and now only rents one chair.
The new owners are great! They take the time to get to know you, giving you a full consultation on what your style is, how much tme you can devote to styling your hair, and what your needs are. They couple this information with the condition and length of your hair and for me, I could not be happier with them.
As an added plus, their modest product selection is like a product junkies candy store. Larger than most Moroccan oil line selection, dry shampoos, KMS line, Kevin Murphy line, powdered, swipe on hair highlights, jewelry /​accessories, and other new fantastic goodies await!
If I could, I would give them 4.5 stars. They are professional, they listen, and they provide value for the services rendered. My only problems are that they are closed Sundays, and my favorite stylist typically and regularly goes on vacation when I really *need* a haircut. I have been several times and am making m2 my regular salon.
