I’m from London and go to restaurants whenever I can, as I love eating out. When I visited Sydney I came across this fantastic restaurant and what a find it was. The Louisiana chicken which is their signature dish is the best chicken dish I’ve ever had. My wife had the Lamb and she said it was to die for. The service was friendly and very clean. I would recommend this place to everyone, and I hope it’s still there when I next go back to Australia.

I know you set yourself up to fail when you have expectations — but I couldn’t help myself — Wet Paint looked so great from the outside and it’s called«Wet Paint» whats not too love? Well I guess to answer that I would have to say the food. I guess you would call the food«Modern Australian» with a mix of meats and fish on the menu — and whilst the descriptions sound alluring — «Salmon Petits Pois quick seared and finished in the oven with petits pois and chive crème fraîche» its pretty average and nothing too exciting is happening in the flavor department. The prices are… ok… mains cost between $ 25 — $ 30 — so it’s middle range for Sydney I suppose… the atmosphere is nice… but when you’re a more«sophisticated» restaurant, I think it’s only fair that you live up to your patrons expectations… A disappointment.

The place looked great from the outside and I had good expectations from the look of the restaurant. Although, It is nosier than most restaurants, and yes a little tight on space, but I found both of these added to the ambience. The food was good, generous sized servings. Although I can’t vouch for the rest of the menu, although I’m sure the other items are also big portions. We were there on a busy night and the service was pretty good considering it was full. The service was fine, extremely timely, and all up a pleasant evening was had. But when the food was brought out, the chicken was dry and not of substance, and the best part of the night was the dessert but then, it was only a piece of banana bread on a plate with a rich butterscotch sauce. We wont be coming back anytime soon.
