The views are great. Don’t bother if you can’t get a seat outside at the balcony. The music inside is quite loud and it is much better outside. The check in bonus dessert is actually a shot of caramel vodka. Speak directly to the manager to get it as most staff members have no clue.

Came here for a birthday party. Was about 25 of us. The food was amazing, so yummy and kept coming in all the time. We paid $ 50 per set menu and was so worth it. The view is amazing too and the drinks were great too. The stuff was helpful and we had a great afternoon. Great spot in Bondi.

Eeeep, second time was definitely not a charm for this Bondi stalwort. And I know exactly where we went wrong… we ate inside. All that«slipping on Ross’s hair gel and falling backwards into 1990» that I mentioned in my first review was in full effect and we spent the entire meal knowing that the grass actually *is* greener on the other side. How green, exactly? Well, it was extremely hot inside, the music was so loud we had to shout one syllable commands to communicate across the table, and the service was frantic and sporadic as they had tons of buzzing, happy people to look after outside. Where we should have been sitting. And that’s where you should be too if you want the 4-star experience of Bondi Social, not the 2-star version. To be fair, we were told when we called that there would be no way a party of 8 would get a seat outside. So we knowingly took a gamble and lost — that’s on us. What wasn’t fair was the surprise $ 40 «cover charge» that appeared on our bill at the end of our meal. Or two additional accidental overcharges. But I guess these things happen when you have the aforementioned buzzing, happy people to look after outside. Long story short: Sit outside. Enjoy the epic daily happy hours. Don’t go with parties of 8.

I recently attended a cocktail function at Bondi Social and it proved to be the perfect place for a casual event. Although they didn’t officially close the restaurant for our party of 30 – 40, it didn’t end up being a busy night, so we got to enjoy the space mostly to ourselves. With gorgeous views and an intimate dining room with benches lining the sides, Bondi Social is the perfect environment for mingling. The canapes that were being circulated were each delicious. From salmon tartar to gourmet sausage rolls, each little nibble was was very well done. I left feeling like I still needed to eat a whole pizza, but I guess that’s the thing with canapes, right? They tease. I intend to try Bondi Social for a regular dinner sometime soon, but am content to recommend it as a great intimate venue to hire for a casual cocktail event or reception.

Book a late lunch here — outside on the balcony — on a weekend afternoon and make sure you snag a seat facing the beach and feel as though you’re looking right into some picture perfect postcard. We’ve got a gang of 8, and we’ve gone the full degustation hog. We’re all big eaters, but this much food is seriously ridiculous… after the sixth course we begin to dread the three remaining dishes because we’re already bordering on exploding from too much. Not that I’m complaining… I’d rather exit a deg stuffed than starving! It’s a share deg and a relaxed, communal way to spend a lazy afternoon of leisurely dining, without have to make any decisions, apart from the poison of course. This particular Saturday, Bondi is at her spectacular finest. The gentle breeze is offshore(se we’re protected), the water is aqua as it gets, the surf is seriously pumping and it’s pre holiday mode, so the place is devoid of the usual manic masses you’d expect on a perfect weekend day like this. The staff a laidback — in a good way… they’re there when you need them… not that we need them that much because we’re a pretty laidback lot ourselves. Come here with the intention of settling in for the afternoon, because you won’t want to drag yourself away from that view… again, make sure you get prime posi from the outset so you don’t get stuck staring at your reflection in the restaurant window instead.

The outdoor balcony is fantastic, with one of the best views in Sydney. I’m sure that you’ll be one of the many people who want this balcony seat — and If you’re there on a particularly awesome sunny day, you may want to bring your karate suit to battle other customers for the honour of that suntan. It’s a prize worth fighting for. The staff are pretty friendly, but I’m sure that with the huge amount of tourists that flock through through tiny elevator to the son decks, they may be a bit snappy on their ‘off’ days. I had an amazing Bococcini Cheese & Tomato Foccacia, which was light and tasty, generously portioned and plated very delicately. The salads also look amazing, which is a feat all in itself, as my friend orders something particularly odd which wasn’t on the menu. They were more than accommodating. Check out their specials: at time of writing, they have a great happy hour in the sun of $ 10 cocktails, $ 5 wines,$ 101L Sangria and $ 6 Coronas, Peroni & $ 6.50 Magners: Mon-Friday 4pm-7pm Saturday 4pm-7pm

Bondi Social is really only worth a visit if you can score a seat on the outdoor balcony, complete with sweeping beach views and a balmy summer breeze. Otherwise, the food here isn’t much to write home about. Dinner with a friend saw an order of the twice-cooked lamb with cous cous and dates — the whole dish was dry and in need of the advertised romesco sauce that never materialised. The haloumi salad with orange slices, chopped olives and rocket was a little better, but again needed oil or some kind of dressing to bring the dish together. A grilled salmon fillet was overcooked and not at all pink on the inside, served atop a simple salad of semi-dried tomatoes, capers and eggplant. Service from our waitress was also the bare minimum. Still, the location and views are awesome. I would consider coming back for one of their regular, good value drinks or meal deals, like the Sunday happy hour that offers $ 10 jugs of sangria from 4 to 9pm.

If you’re up for drinking and sharing food with friends, you absolutely must try Bondi Social. This restaurant has a view overlooking Bondi Beach, which is already a big plus in my book. They serve tasting plates so you can nibble while sipping your drink and chatting with your friends. Another big plus for me is that you don’t have to worry about eating too much because the servings are just the right size. The food here is excellent! Most particularly, their duck plate yum yum! Aside from this, they have excellent lighting: it’s very soft. So, great food, beautiful view, great drinks and perfect lighting. What else could you want? Highly recommended.

You have to get in a tiny lift to get up to Bondi Social as there are no stairs. This can be a pain if its busy but the payoff is worth it. Funnily enough it’s a great place for social events or functions. I know, go figure! We had a family function here so booked for 18 on a Saturday afternoon. Everything looked so good that we all decided to go for the tasting plates– reasonably priced at $ 38 a head when you consider the quality of ingredients and amount of food. And oh my! It was worth it. I will never be able to look at another corn fritter without feeling like I’m cheating. I really like this place, the staff are friendly and attractive, the tunes are good and they have a great wine list. Every time I’ve been here the crowd have been attractive but unpretentious. Bondi Social FTW!
