Kate Kaz is very popular for breakfast, I heard a few couples talking about it in our hotel next door and decided to give it a try. Great breakfast selection, and such good coffee ! The staff is very welcoming and seems to be a few locals favorite. Their breakfast special offers bacon, eggs, toast, and grilled tomato . The bacon was thick, no fats, great flavor. I loved the grilled tomatoes, really Good touch with the eggs. They also have a great vegetarian selection and healthy drinks too!

Had breakfast here yesterday and it wasn’t anything spectacular. The coffee was bitter. I am a regular soy drinker(if I could have regular milk, I would). I asked the cashier the brand of soy milk they use and he seemed to just want to push for the sale. They use the Coles brand soy and he was trying to convince me that it is the best soy milk ever. I reluctantly agreed to still have the coffee as I usually will try anything especially if someone pushes it. I was so disappointed, the coffee was bitter and way too hot. My breakfast seemed to be microwaved and the hashbrown i ordered on the side was soggy and really chewy on the outside which would suggest again that it was nuked first. However, it wasn’t all bad. The fresh juice was lovely and refreshing. If I would come back, I’d come back for the fresh juice. Service wasn’t spectacular, the staff seemed miserable and I felt that the customers were slightly ignored especially when all the cab drivers(which I assume were the regulars) would come in. We paid close to $ 60 for 2 meals, 2 coffees and 2 juices. I wouldn’t have minded if it was enjoyable. It would have been a better option to pay for an overpriced hotel buffet breakfast.

I popped down here for breakfast while staying at World Square. It seemed the busiest of the café’s, which is usually a good sign, although to be fair, around that area, ranking how busy cafes are is like ranking the wetness of oceans, but I digress. I had one of those«didn’t quite understand the menu» moments, where what I ordered didn’t resemble in any way what I thought I’d be getting. It was the vegetarian breakfast(which turned out to be a sandwich), and despite my confusion, it was good. It had a pretty extensive menu covering light to healthy and the outside area is nice, although it’s a smoking area and no matter how many times I moved the ashtray off my table, the girl serving just didn’t seem to get the message and kept putting it back(until I eventually handed it to her). Service was a little slow, but considering how busy it was, understandable. It didn’t blow my mind and I wouldn’t ever plan a trip here, but it’s a convenient and solid little café.

Located on the busy corner of Pitt and Liverpool streets, this place gets packed but the team always seems to manage without breaking a sweat. The premises are small but run like a well-oiled machine. You’ll find a mishmash of locals and tourists staying at the plethora of hotels in the area, all dropping in for their morning caffeine kick. In addition to good Italian food, an extensive breakfast menu list is available-fruit salad with yogurt, delicious muffins and a variety of cereals, freshly prepared fruit smoothies, and cooked breakfast dishes. I love to sit outside in the small dining area at the intersection of the streets, and people watch as I enjoy my cappuccino before starting my work day.
