A comfortable, cozy and stylish venue in an extremely convenient location for afterwork cocktails and happy hour. Speaking of cocktails, although everything on the list sounds absolutely fantastic, I would highly recommend the spicy Espresso Martini. Goes down very smoothly… Some would say a little too smoothly! Very friendly knowledgeable bartender, great for a chat if there’s not a rush for drinks. You will find this place gets busy after 5PM Monday to Friday. Comfortable and eclectic décor; you will always find something interesting to look at where ever your eyes may wander. Really great quality food and beverages just across the road from Central Station, a stand out venue located delivering taste and quality in an area that seems to thrive on cheap and quick!

Awesome cocktails, friendly knowledgeable bartender, awesome hours. Yes! Came here after our other two targets in the neighborhood(including Lil Darlin) closed unexpectedly early(read: earlier than Unilocal said they would on a Wednesday night). The place was just about the only bar open in this(actually busy looking) neighborhood by the Central train station, yet it wasn’t busy which meant we got to ask the bartender(forget his name) for recommendation for drinks to fulfill our mission: girly cocktails. He delivered in spades. He recommended the MEXICANCLOUD which we got and you MUSTGETIFYOUWANT A GIRLYDRINK. It’s already a pretty solid drink as is but it’s topped with — I kid you not — foam made from elderberry liqueur. Which smells and tastes as good as it sounds. Like St Germain flavored cool whip. The«Aviation» was also good, and the Gingerbread Old Fashioned was also something special — because I’ve never experienced anything so much like drinking a piece of gingerbread! Cool décor too. Glad it was open and saved the day.

Came here on a Wednesday night, $ 3 tacos. Unfortunately, there was only one choice of taco for the $ 3 taco special. We ordered off their regular bar menu and disappointed to say, we weren’t blown away by the it. The feel of the bar is sweet and cosy and very casual which was lovely and the staff were incredible, however, this is not enough to return.

We ended up in Surry Hills on a Tuesday night for a meeting which was supposed to have food but didn’t. When we got out it was late and we were starving. We needed to find somewhere that served food and was still open. Surry Hills is not short of places to eat but at after 9:30 most seemed to have closed their kitchens already. those that were open were pub beer gardens or bistros that were pretty uninspiring. Fortunately for us we noticed this place. We popped our heads in and they were more than happy to provide us with food and beer. Its pub food but good pub food. It was a while ago that we went but I remember having some soft shelled tacos and mini burgers which were really good. There was a good selection of beers. Not just your usual stuff but good craft beers as well. This is one of the small, trendy bars that Sydney is trying to encourage to compete with Melbourne. The décor was quirky. Old mismatched furniture. TVs playing old black and white movies, really decent background music. Completely different to the usual sports on TV and blaring pokies you get at most bars. The place was absolutely deserted so we got chatting to the guy behind the bar who turned out to be one of the owners. They hadn’t been open very long and being a Tuesday, crowds were thin but apparently they had started to draw a crowd on the weekends. They were struggling a little but hoped that things were picking up. We don’t go to Surry Hills very often but if we do, we’ll certainly be going back. I really hope they make it. And I really hope we get more places like this. We might be tempted to go out for a drink more often.
