Great food and real homely feel. Makes you feel like you’re eating at your grandparents place. Even the chips on the menu are cut up fresh potato pan fried. Nice Italian man and woman cooking everything in the back. Usually the staff is Italian which gives it a real authentic feel. Be warned that there is no pizza here. I highly recommend the fettuccini carbonara.

A busy but pretty ordinary Italian trattoria. The service was good but to be honest the food offerings are simply middle of the road — nothing bad, but nothing at all special either.

As far as Italian places go, this is a solid but not outstanding performer. On arrival the obvious abundance of older-Italian clientele was a promising sign. The staff were extremely pleasant and were possibly the highlight of the evening. My steak arrived exactly as requested although another steak at the table seemed more rare than medium. The wild variations in mains sizing was unusual. Pasta arrived in abundance but duck and another non-steak main were more like appetisers in size. Overall I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this trattoria but I probably wouldn’t return myself.

I love the food here at this small and friendly Italian which is just over the road from south Yarra station. It has a small seating area outside during the day, and inside its decorated quite rustic with wooden tables and chairs and has a nice feel to it. The staff are very friendly and help with any queries on the menu, apart from all of the usual pasta and pizza suspects they also have a specials board. My favuorite without a doubt is the mushroom tortillini, it is gorgeous. The caraffes of wine are good value but it is a BYO. There is a bottle shop nearby across the road to the right. They also do take aways. The prices are reasonable and it gets a lot of locals in.
