I can’t recall the last good burger I had on Chapel Street that wasn’t actually a kebab so I’m quite pleased with my visit to Jus Burgers. The burger was juicy and delicious however I did not have any sides(noted for next time!). My only criticism is that my burger bun was a little too… Supple. That’s the only way I can describe it. I was worried the whole thing would slip out of my hands even with it cut in half! Does not detract from the taste at all.

What better way to celebrate a hard Pilates class than with a massive burger! I’m pretty sure I broke all the zen laws when I stuffed a classic burger in my gob after such a serene session, but when a burger craving happens you’re best not to ignore it. The burger was good, the patty itself tasty and with a nice char from the grill. The salad fresh, the bun a good balance between crunchy and soft. The relish was good, if perhaps a little generous. My dining companion got very excited about the onion rings(and yes, I pinched and also rate them) but for me, the best side? The slaw! They don’t just do one kind of slaw here but three! The Middle Eastern was my pick. With pomegranate molasses it was zingy and fresh and the perfect palate cleanser between big juicy bites of my burger. I loved the little quirks of this place — dinosaur table numbers and stuffed birds poking their heads out the wall

A stand — alone(as far as i am aware) in the mass of franchised burger stores that are sweeping Melbourne with the same formula and method. what it essentially amounts to here is fresh and quality ingredients; burgers made to order, with that taste that replicates, one would make at home, or at a barbeque, but much better. The taste is quite good, and subsequently they get eaten quickly. I ordered the spanish burger or something therein, and it was quite good; smoky crispy beef patty, awesome and plump red peppers, and good chorizo sausage. I asked for cheese to be included in it’s making, because as i always say… «A burger without cheese is merely an elaborate sandwich!»

Good burgers. He had the pommy burger. Very tasty. She had the cheese burger with a gluten free bun. Burger was ok but the bun crumbled away. It’s good to have gluten free option, but that should not excuse a bad bun. Query if the bun would stay together if properly toasted, or whether they need to find another baker? Grill’d does not have this issue with GF. On a positive end-note, staff were very good. We will go back for another try.

Some good menu choices and the décor is cute(my inner child was greatly impressed by the table numbers marked on plastic dinosaurs). Very similar to Grill’d but less commercial.

Pricey, but if you’re in the neighbourhood and have a hankering for a solid burger this is a good bet(with some pretty good vegetarian options as well — favourite is the pumpkin, goat cheese and pesto). Wish the little bowls of slaw were bigger.

The burgers were suprisingly expensive, and in my opinion I didnt get anything better than a grill’d burger. I found the patties to not have a great deal of flavour in them. The service was excellent though. The staff were very attentive and brought out my food quickly.
