I enjoyed their chu chee duck and yellow lamb curry recently, they tasted rich and creamy and delicious. But I have to say that if you love the traditional fragrance and spice of authentic Thai, there might not be enough kick in your food here. In short, it is a little bland and more than a little overpriced, but maybe that’s how the locals like it. It’s in a good location, opposite Como, and the staff are friendly. I left wanting more of what I ordered but not everyone felt the same.

Blossom Thai produces a far higher quality Thai dish than the cheap and cheerful options elsewhere. Many reviewers are unused to paying for this quality and can’t see past the figures. Blossom is great value in my opinion and perfect for a special meal and take away. Try the fish.

This is my 3 times at this Thai restaurant. I did order king prawns tamarind sauce without expecting the fresh prawns. It came with 4fresh king prawns grilled and fresh deliciously done. Good impressed done that I have to sign up to Yulp that I have had it in my phone for a log time to make this fabulous comment. Just only down side is the service and waitress are quite slow and not really attentive.

Not cheap but very good. Great service. Very large wine list. Authentic flavors. Healthy options. Been here for over 5 years. A winner. P. S. last time we went we had 1 hour to eat before a movie and they accommodated us and we got to the Jam Factory on time to see Back to the Future.

I was very underwhelmed by Blossom Thai. Firstly, the dishes are quite expensive. Now I don’t mind paying extra if what I’m getting reflects the extra $$ Unfortunately, the quality of their food is less than average. It lacks flavour and texture. Suprisingly, everytime I drive past there seems to be lots of people in there, so obviously some people don’t mind paying jacked up prices for flavourless food…

Blossom Thai has all the necessary elements to be a sensational Thai restaurant. They have lovely outdoor seating where you can enjoy your meal whilst taking in the surrounds of the classy Toorak Road district or you may also sit inside in the air conditioning to consume your spicy feast. What lets Blossom Thai down is unfortunately the quality of their food. I have only been to the restaurant once but I have also had friends go without me since, all coming back with the same response; food is overpriced and under flavoured. I ordered the Yellow Lamb Curry, the meat was very over cooked and dry and the curry was runny, milky and had none of the usual Thai spices usually associated with the cuisine. On the other hand for dessert I ordered the coconut ice cream, this was very tasty, it had little chewy bits of caramel that pop as you eat them, the ice cream itself was nice and creamy, but both meals were still on the more expensive side. Overall a bit hit and miss, I would suggest finding an authentic Thai restaurant somewhere further down Chapel Street and saving yourself the money and risk.
