Peering over the green, looking down from the top of the stair on the non-highway side of the Roseville train station, I immediately spotted the Roseville Café. Following the sense of serendipity I ventured in to check it out. Coming in from outside it at first felt dark, but as my eyes adjusted the quaint little café appeared. With a few tables inside it felt peaceful and not too noisy. Then, before taking another breath I was shown to a table. For such a small café, you could he forgiven for tthinking it is over staffed, but it did ensure a high level of service. As for the coffee, it was brilliant! Having been unable to find dbl macs that are not piccolo lattes at many cafes, seeing a brilliant crema, a dot of milk, and a perfectly espressed coffee made my day. Certainly worth stopping in here for a great cup of coffee. Rosewood Café is one of the most dull and depressing cafes I have ever ordered from. The restaurant has changed hands a couple of times over the few years and it is obvious why. The ambiance is dreadful and the service not great. Despite this, the café manages to attract regular clientele because there is almost non existent competition in the area. Drive an extra kilometre or two and find a restaurant or café worth eating at. The food isn’t bad and the prices are reasonable, but the layout and design of the café needs a total overhaul.
