Chocolateria San Churro Chatswood

Let me start by saying that I love real hot chocolate, the kind that is made with actual chocolate and not the powdered stuff. And I like it strong too.
San Churro is the only place where I don’t have to request they make it extra strong because they make it just how it should be.
(If you like weak, milky hot chocolate try Oliver Brown at the other end of Westfield) The shakes are also fantastic and so are the desserts. The Churros are freshly made and come with a choice of dark, milk or White chocolate, the chocolate coated strawberries are sublime and the different cakes taste as good as they look.
They have a loyalty program where you get a freebie every five hot drink purchases and once you have reached the tenth one they give you a plastic card which gives you 10% off in all future orders.
This place rules.

I went there tonight with my wife and I ordered my drink and my wife wanted a flat white with a half suger, we all know that the coffee drinks here are not cheap, with that in mind we expect the service to match the price, unfortunately it didn’t when I requested the half sugar the cashier just told me in these exact words «there is sugar on the table you can do it yourself.» After hearing these words I told them what I thought and left without purchasing. These people… Sigh they forget we are in Chatswood and not out west we pay premium for everything in this area we expect premium service, this level of service is not welcome in North Sydney.

There is absolutely no way I can rate any shop in this chain less than four stars. The churros are always good and the dipping sauces are sinful.
This shop is tucked inside a Westfield, which makes it a little annoying to get to, and it lacks some of the ambience of other Chocolaterias… but still, you can’t go wrong. I ordered my usual (churros + dulce de leche). While the churros were a wee bit doughy inside it was still really good.

The Mocha Mambo chocolate shakes are amazing! Just don’t turn up with chocolate cravings and over-​order; less is more at this place. Great churros and friendly staff.

Everyone knows the Churro’s at any San Churro are pretty awesome. If your coming to the Chatswood branch on a Saturday night expect be in line with heaps of other churros loving people. Not ideal for a big group but we persisted and ordered the Churro Fiesta to share.
When they Churros finally arrived the waiter dropped one churro on the table and apologised and said he’d come back. Having once been a waitress myself I was filled with empathy because I understand what can happen on a busy night when you are juggling 3 + plates. He came back when my friends were about halfway done with another pot of ice-​cream to replace the churro he dropped. Super utterly confused!!! There was still an extremely long line waiting for Churros so it can’t have been that they ran out of churros that they gave us ice-​cream instead. Nobody else complained so I didn’t bother saying anything either. Yet another Pauline Hanson «please explain» moment in my life.

My sister and I LOVE San Churro and usually make ourselves sick on chocolate every time we go.
The hot chocolate is so delicious — surely the best I’ve ever had. I’ve tried both the Spanish Hot Chocolate and the Hot & Cold which are both fantastic.
The churros are also really tasty — and are especially wonderful with the chocolate dipping sauce. Mmm.
Such a great chain and SO much better than that bald man — I wish we had San Churro in the US!

If you’re like me and LOVE chocolate, this place is for you. My sister and I grabbed some chocolate dipped strawberries from here before the movies. I’m so glad we did– they were the perfect snack and great competition for Hoyt’s expensive food and drink prices. You can get takeaway (which we did) and the strawberries dipped in chocolate were simply divine. I know what movie snack I’ll be purchasing next time! There’s no need to stock up on junk food at Woolworths before heading to the movies now!
