If you’re looking for wine, then Redfern Cellars is only one step up from your average, boring old bottleo. They have a small range but some good(and almost affordable) wines among the bunch. I like Redfern Cellars for its eccentric variety of import beers from all over the world, stuff you don’t see very often. We made an impulse purchase — a Chinese liqueur in a big round bottle with a small hole at the top, with an enormous nashi pear inside. «How did they get the pear in there?» we asked, the girl working at Redfern Cellars shrugged and looked back at her iPhone. We bought it anyway. It was a bit disgusting but Redfern Cellars was responsible for much debate about nashi pears and bottles, it entertained us for hours, well before we started drinking.
