Girlfriend and I arrived at milkaholics just in time for breakfast, this charming little joint sits just off the parade and offers breakfast and dessert exclusively. The staff are lovely and friendly and I love the dining areas, the little beer garden type situation they have going on out the back is really nice. These guys have that real retro, old is new vibe going on — which is cool. The coffee was predictably great and the food reasonably priced. I ordered the moo breakfast — bacon, eggs, fried tomatoes, home made beans and a big Swiss mushroom. It was really tasty everything was cooked well, the bread was a little on the croûton size but I coped with what I was given. I will say it was served in a sort of tin tray — the kind you cook a roast in when camping — it wasn’t suitable for the meal, I found it really awkward trying to eat out of. The omelette GF ordered was HUGE absolutely unstoppable and really tasty. There’s a lot of tasty looking cakes at the counter and they offered some really tempting juices on the menu — next time i think I’ll try one! Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and good food, three elements that have you on the way to a winning formula

Wanting to try a different option in the Norwood area, my buddy and I thought we would check out Milkaholic. The breakfast menu has plenty of options and after much deliberation, I ordered a mango smoothie, she ordered a kale juice, I ordered a serve of baked eggs and she the big breakie! We were impressed with the size of our drinks — very generous and the food came out in reasonable time. The presentation was nice — however not necessarily practical — my dining partners meal was presented in a funky bowl but this actually made it complicated to eat! The food was nice — however not mind blowing or super memorable. I’d come back however there are lots of other tempting options around. The interior of the joint was nicely decorated however we sat outside because the music was kinda loud in there. All in all, not a bad experience but not amazing… just ok!

I think this visit was spoiled slightly by anticipation– we saw the brekky menu on FB and had pretty much picked our order before we got there. Good stuff first– the drinks. The boys had the Donkey Kong while I had the Peanut Butter Caramel. Amazing. The meals sadly were underwhelming. I got the veggie Breakfast Burrito– expecting to be able to pick it up & eat with my hands, like a normal burrito. Nope! It was pretty much a standard veggie brekky served on top of a tortilla in a bowl. No way it could be wrapped, let alone picked up– way too runny. The homemade baked beans were also lacking flavour, while the cucumber salsa had far too much coriander for my taste.

Very nice little dessert bar, intimate for two or 4. Warm, cosy and very well decorated. Friendly service, good menu. I ordered the donkey kong frappé and the nutella kronut with peanut butter ice cream they were both delicious. They were also offering at the time, a free glass of sangria with any desert which was nice, its not often you get something for nothing. The only negative was the efpos was temporarily unavaliable and i had to leave my friend to find an atm, annoying but i survived ;) Would recommend, will be back, maybe for lunch :)

Very nice cosy little place with three different seating areas– at the front of the store, directly inside, and through to the rear in an undercover outdoor area. They serve quite a few different variety of food and drinks– from the stock standard coffee and tea, followed by freshly squeezed juices, frappes and smoothies, and wines, beers and ciders. The breakfast menu has a wide variety of selections from omelettes, waffles, home made baked beans, traditional big breakfasts, vegetarian options, a breakfast burrito, pulled pork, breakfast mini burgers, omelettes etc. They also serve«herbed Swiss brown mushrooms» with most of their breakfast items. Beautiful. Something else that jumped out at me was something called the«Nutella Kronut» which is described as «warm donut like pastry light and crispy, with Nutella drizzle and vanilla ice cream». I’ve only been here so far for breakfast/brunch and every time it’s been a real treat. The brunch menu has mainly burgers and fries. The only thing I could comment on is my poached eggs were done with hard yolks which I hate. But next time I’ll ask to be done soft, and it may help for everybody else to do so. This place is highly recommended by myself. It has a lovely relaxing atmosphere, and the look and feel is very laid back and trendy.

Mrs Plate had long wanted to try the Frozen Hot Chocolate from Milkaholic, so when we found ourselves in Norwood recently, it seemed only logical that we’d head into Milkaholic. The décor is quite funky and a little bit vintage, and the tables are all close together, which helps create a real homely kind of atmosphere. The service was attentive and we were shown a table and given some menus seconds after walking in the door. We decided to share the Kronut that came with lemon curd and maple syrup, while Mrs Plate ordered the Frozen Hot Chocolate she longed for and I ordered a Hot Salted Caramel. The Kronut was nice, though it was a tad tougher than I’d have expected from a croissant-donut fusion and the lemon curd completely overpowered the other flavours. Once I ate all the lemon curd on it’s own, the maple syrup and Kronut combination was a real winner and perhaps they’d be best off having a lemon curd Kronut as well as a maple syrup Kronut, rather than lumping the two flavours together. The Frozen Hot Chocolate was an absolute winner and I’m not usually a fan of chocolate flavoured drinks. It wasn’t too sweet, the texture was perfect and the flavour of the chocolate was outstanding. The Hot Salted Caramel was quite nice, though it tasted like a Gingernut biscuit, which is slightly odd but given I love Gingernuts I was quite pleased. As you’d expect from somewhere as hip as this, the prices are not cheap and I’m not sure I’d rush back, though I could imagine sipping on one of the Frozen Hot Chocolates once summer rolls around again.

Being tucked at Edward Street in Norwood, this place has a homely feel. Mina Colada which I had ordered is very nice and rich in banana and mango. I love it! The noshing plate is just ordinary and that the panna cotta is too sweet. Blackberry lime cheesecake is the best out of the three desserts on the plate.

I’ve been to Milkaholic twice. Once because I was with a mate and craving a milkshake(see below) and again a few weeks later with a group of friends. I am a huge cream fan, so immediately I, along with a mate, ordered the durian panna cotta. DONOTMAKETHISMISTAKE. I know that durian is a strange smelling fruit, but this dessert honestly tasted like parmesan cheese and(as much as I like parmesan) I could not stomach it. To this day I cannot fathom why this dessert would be put on the menu because it in no way tasted of panna cotta and was nothing short of disgusting. The good news is that everyone else around the table loved their dessert! Haha. My friend ordered a mint and lime cocktail and while it was crazy good they got the order wrong and brought out two. The best peanut butter milkshake in the world is located at Milkaholic. Ask for it with chocolate and you will not be disappointed.

Awesome new late-night dessert place in Norwood, just off the Parade. «Spicy» hot chocolate was a bit bizarre, but the sundaes and desserts are some of the best I’ve had! Great chilled out vibe too.

Formally known as Marmalade, the new owners have enclosed off the back open area. Really dark inside making it hard to read the menu. Desserts overall very high standard.
