Julie’s Alterations & Dry Cleaners

I have always found Julie's service to be completely professional and very helpful. She will often make suggestions to me on how to keep my clothing clean and even does this at the expense of actually getting my clothes dry cleaned with her. I can thoroughly recommend her.

I recently took a lot of work to Julie after losing a lot of weight. She charged me well over $ 700 to adjust a number of my work suits for me. After trying on one of the jackets she adjusted, I noticed that the sleeves were too short, so I took it back to ask her if she would mend it. She refused and says it isn’t her job to keep the customer happy — I might add that she guaranteed all of her work when I picked it up. I said I would go elsewhere and she suggested that was a good idea. If you are reading this post I recommend you do the same.
Update — last night I went to see a different tailor and she advised that the suit jacket had not been taken in well at all. It was too tight around my arms and in my armpits and now I’m looking at forking out another lot of money to have it fixed again. I’m very unhappy with Julie’s service. I feel that my jacket has been ruined and I regret using her in the first place. Please, if you are reading this, save yourself the frustration and expense and find another more qualified tailor.

I always bring my alterations to Julie’s, dresses, suits, jeans & shirts — I’m always amazed at how well they do everything. From even the most vague description, and sometimes without even seeing it on you, they make everything look & feel like designer stuff. I’m always very, very happy with their work!

Good little place to get some alterations done. I recently bought a new suit, and had the legs taken up an inch or so.
Price is good ($ 15 for the alteration), although it did take about 3 working days to get done (my guess is they get quite a bit of business, being in this prime location). Service is as friendly as you would expect.
