Pizza completed its arduous 1.5km delivery distance in about 70minutes. It arrived cold and squashed with wilted rocket on it. Edible in the same way you could eat cardboard if covered with pizza sauce for an hour. Avoid.

80% of the time the pizzas come out overcooked so that the toppings are charred and the sauce has all dried up — yuck! You need to explicitly tell them not to overcook it and then the pizza tastes at least average. They also messed up my flatmate’s order and put toppings on that she asked to be left off. They have a lot of variety to choose from but there are much better places to order pizza from in Bondi.

I had a Medium Pizza, the smaller one, I never really understand why they have three size: Medium, Large, XL Is it so bad to call the small one … Small ? Anyway I had the Potato Head, not enough potatoes and lots of olive oil, never had the fingers so oily after a pizza, but it was still good, better than a domino’s I would say.

I’ve been watching this little pizza joint do a booming takeaway business for weeks now and last night it became obvious why. Case in point: where else could I easily and affordably feed a picky-eating 8-year-old, a health nut and a celiac with equally positive results? Doughboy made this seemingly difficult task a piece of pie. Their pizzas range from the basic of basics to the ultimately delicious and equally puntastic(think: Lamborghini) and more than that, they have one of the most delicious gluten free crusts I’ve ever had. It’s fast, delicious and affordable. And there’s ice cream involved.

This little pizza joint was absolutely packed last Sunday night when I stopped by to grab dinner. You can sit down to eat — there is room for about ten people I would say, but to be honest the atmosphere was a little stressful with so many orders being called, and it was hot inside as all the seats are located right by the busy, open kitchen. We decided to get our meal to takeaway. Initially we were after their gluten-free pizza bases, but you’re only able to order them if you purchase the medium sized base, which would have worked out to be a bit more expensive. The ‘capricciosa’ was topped with heaps of ham along with roasted capsicum, pesto and black olives, while the ‘carnevale’ was a salty-sweet combo of roasted campsicum, goat’s cheese and Italian sausage. This place is a bit more upscale than your local Domino’s outpost — it was $ 45 for two pizzas that we collected, but they were really good quality.

The North Bondi bus depo can be regarded as a petite social spot, tucked away up on a hill. Hidden from the iconic glory of Bondi Beach, it is what makes this place so endearing. It is a locals haven for food, drinks and groceries. This North Bondi spot holds a few gems that are worth the scout. Doughboy is a delicious pizza joint, it’s small and busy… just the way the locals like it. The ingredients are fresh, juicy and crunchy! The dough is nice and thin, leaving room to enjoy the tasty mozzarella and toppings of your choice. Doughboy doesn’t need to drench their pizza in salt and oil, home made sauce and seasonings give it the UMPH! it needs. Try their famous cheesy garlic bread, good heavens it’s delicious! Also, their Lamborghini pizza is as decadent as the name. Moroccan Lamb, cherry tomatoes, eggplant, ricotta, garlic and parsley. Excuse me while I order some home delivery right now. But if you can withhold your urge to devour a pizza instantly, pop into the small café style restaurant. Grab a window seat and people watch the locals, they’re a happy bunch. Open 5:30−10pm daily and you can B.Y.O.
