Extremely salty meals and the problem with this place is consistency. Surprisingly i like the thai drinks they serve here.

What kind of monster doesn’t enjoy Thai food on a hot summers day??! Thai Culinary is by no means ‘fancy’ Thai food, it’s more like the kind of tasty street food you would find in Thailand(but probably a lot more hygienic). The flavours are fresh, tasty and very cheap(meaning you just end up ordering way more than you probably need). You can eat in at their little restaurant or take away(they accept large phone orders too!). I can never go past their vegetarian pad thai which has the option to add egg and tofu(perfectly cooked). The Thai green curry is nicely spicy without being over the top too — definitely get this with coconut rice! YUM! The menu is very extensive and has something for most dietary requirements. They are also very careful for vegans/vegetarians which makes me pretty happy. I have been going here for years and it is my go to place for cheap, cheerful and easy Thai food when you just want to relax and enjoy a good meal with friends.

Food is not very authentic. Green curry, should be renamed green water. If your looking for thai, you can probably search else where. Main came before entrée, pet peeve, & the chicken served was to dry. Not on our go back to list.

Another terrible experience at restaurants on this street. Customer service like they have never been trained at all. When I was looking at menu, they put cutlery strongly on the table right in front of me which really shocked me. Thai curry stir fried rice with pineapple should be renamed as «Curry fried rice with onion» because in a big dish, I only found 3 small pieces of pineapples and didn’t taste any pineapple at all. Instead there are tons of onion in the dish! Pad see ew is very salty. Too many sauce and carrot. I have never seen and eaten any pad see ew with these many carrots. Do they think all customers are rabbits? Pad thai is ok and not special. Chicken massaman curry is quite plain and not as fragrant as expect. I didn’t enjoy this dish(or any of their dishes)

We ordered delivery from Thai Culinary often and love them most of the time. If you order early enough they generally deliver on time. Alas tonight was not the night. I did order early but they were half an hour late AND they forgot one of my orders!!! Grrr! That being said they were very nice about it and gave us complimentary drinks as an apology. I would recommend their Massaman curry, thai green curry and most certainly their Pad Kee Mao noodles! If you dine in their noodle soups are delicious too!

Love this place and have been going here for years. They even deliver if you live close to the CBD! Fave dishes include the fried chicken spare Ribs, pad Thai & the green curry.

First place I saw when I turned the corner on Elizabeth street and I’m glad I walked in! The fact that it was busy at a later dinner hour(9pm) and smelled amazing were already good signs. I had the Pad Kee Mao with beef and tom yum soup which were both delicious. Thinking about coming back tomorrow for some fried rice. Everything was very affordable averaging about $ 10, but it’s cash only — so make sure you have some money or hit up an ATM before coming. The serving sizes and portions were great and made for a super satisfying meal after a long day. Btw, it’s my first time in Melbourne and loving it so far :)

Thai Culinary on Elizabeth Street is a staple of student dining. South East Asian pop culture aficionado Brandon Tay recommended it to me, which means it’s double authentic. Conveniently located in the RMIT campus precinct, Thai Culinary offers no fuss meals with rice under ten dollars. The content of the meals is interchangeable to accommodate all tastes, with meat, chicken and tofu available. I always eat Pad Satay. The Pad Satay and I are coming up to our seventh anniversary together. That makes it my longest lasting relationship ever. It varies in quality and quantity but the price always stays the same. A recent renovation saw a fresh coat of lilac paint go up on the walls and a boganic pine bench along the right side of the venue. Open seven days, Thai Culinary does not close during that awkward period between lunch and dinner. This is great for people who eat at strange times. Unfortunately it’s not licensed and there’s no BYO, but if you’ve trashed yourself at an RMIT art opening and need something to soak up the alcohol in your stomach, you must go here.

A friend from out of town was craving some Thai Food so we decided to come Thai Culinary to have a fried rice party. We had Tom Yum chicken, Pineapple beef, and XO Seafood fried rice. While the food here is good, it is often inconsistent and you might not have the same good experience all the time. Among the three, the one I liked the most was the Tom Yum Fried Rice. It was bursting with flavor and the notes of lemongrass complimented the mushrooms very well. It was almost like eating solid Tom Yum soup. The portions here are monster huge, my order of XO fried rice could probably feed a whole army! Do consider ordering 1 or 2 mains and sharing a couple of entrees depending on how big your party is. Note: Ask for the fresh chilli from the kitchen. It will blow your tongue out of your head.

This place has decent Thai food and the prices aren’t too bad either. Their Pad See Ew is one of the best in Melbourne. One thing we notice is that the taste/quality can depend on who is cooking and it can sometime lack consistency. If you order the Chicken Ribs(a popular item here), get the«Thai Spicy» — they taste so much better that way. It’s nothing fancy, but it is fresh and well priced. Wish they would open one out Collingwood way and get rid of the rubbish Thai places on Smith street.

Always judge a thai place by it’s pad thai. Always. This one was definitely a favourite! The portions are huge(sharing is caring) and the prices are offensive. They even had thai tea, first place I’ve seen thus far! If you can book, I would definitely try because it is bumping here! The staff are bleh but what do you expect. We had made 1 attempt to come here on a Friday night but it was pretty packed and asked how long the wait was but the staff simply said they couldn’t accomodate rather than letting us wait. The 2nd time it was easy to get a seat. So it’s hit or miss I guess? Two thumbs up on the food but 2 thumbs down on the service.

NOTES: ~ This review is based off the delivery only. ~ Minimum delivery order: $ 30. Considering the top reviews all over the internet, I think that maybe I just had a bad experience because when it comes to the food — it was really sub-par for me. I ordered the Fried Rice with Tom Yum Paste which left me feeling very disappointed. Fried rice is hard to get wrong, but when it goes wrong, the rice becomes very chalky. The reason why that is? When little or no care goes into the rice and it only gets put in the wok for like 30 seconds with your flavouring. A good fried rice comes together — not fall apart. Also, I could barely taste any Tom Yum flavour because they put way too many mushrooms that overpowered the entire dish. Large mushrooms as well. It would have been fine if they were chopped up slightly smaller so it all fuses together, but everything just seemed so separated and carelessly thrown together. The service was kind enough and they do have a good variety of food on the menu, so maybe there’s something else that’s worth a try. But as far as the rice goes, say no.
