Shu is very good. Enjoyable and innovative food. Good service. Nice contemporary surroundings. Been here three times and myself and our friends have enjoyed it each time. It borders a little on hipsterville but still manages to cater for older customers. The food we had here tonight was very tasty. The service was also friendly.

I really liked the vegan tasting menu. The decoration is sometimes too distracting and may not help you focus on tasting the spicy food that is cooked in Shu. You will either like the restaurant décor/​music or hate it. I did like it. The food, however, was my favorite part of my visit. It is creative and very well prepared.

Had a nice five course meal here, was great. Modern take on Chinese, the restaurant décor is very different… industrial modern/​hipster. Futuristic feeling. Food was good and left well rounded but not exploding. I’d say give it a go. :-)
Not the place for: romantic date, business meeting to impress, meeting «the parents»
Place more suited to: friends gathering (work associates or with friends from an old workplace), expect noise if they have a function on so probably not your close friends if you want to chat about the sparks between you and a new love interest.

Wish I could give more but it feels ever so slightly too clinical for higher rating.

Hmmmmmmm sorry Shu but I think by trying to do to much with the presentation etc you’ve missed the mark on serving the best food. Small portions, served cold due to a busy night we were there — flavours showed potential just needed more served in a decent bowl :)
The décor of the place is very different though so if your wanting a new dinning experience give it a try — just hope they aren’t to busy when u go
