Awesome crepes in the centre of Melbourne, any time of the day. You’ve basically got your pick of ingredients when it comes to fruit, cream, sauces, ice cream etc, and hot or cold, or go the savoury route. Personally, I love a bit of chocolate ice-cream, Nutella, strawberries & bananas, hold the cream! There’s a few seats out the front, or take it to go and wander the streets of this awesome city. Fun Fact — If you’ve ever been to Tokyo and had crepes in Harajuku, you will not be disappointed.

We smelt this café before we found it. My girls wanted to try them out and the ordering and service was easy to do. Thank goodness for picture menus and so much choice! There is limited seating in the alleyway to sit, eat and people watch. Great little dessert café in the heart of Melbourne, would recommend and would also go again too.

I came here for an iced coffee. That was a mistake. The coffee was as expensive as many fancy ones at cafes so I had high hopes. They were unable to make most of the iced coffee options on the menu because they were out of supplies. What I ended up with appeared to be made not with actual coffee but some kind of coffee flavoured powder. It tasted pretty bad. I’ll give them a two star rating because the food looked like it might be pretty good, but if I was rating on the coffee alone I’d give them one star.

If you’re feeling like having something that is like a thin pancake and icecream then this place give it to u in a wrap. They have multiple flavours of different fruits or custards to icecream flavours. Best thing to have after dinner if you love walking around with a dessert in your hands. Small store so not easy to eat there.

This is my first encounter with Japanese style green tea crepes with ice cream and strawberry…~*swooon*~ One word: Delicious. That is all. Order it!

Need a sugar hit? Or to be hit by sugar? Then this is the place for you. The flavour combos are awesome. The crepes are crispy — and the smell– the smell is temptation itself.

They’ve moved! Swanston Street side lane near Melbourne Central Dome. Picked up a hot Nutella for brekkie. Awesomeness with coffee.

While these crepes aren’t terrible, my mother makes me far better ones at home. I used to come here a lot in my school days, as these crepes were a real fad among my friends, but my visits have dwindled over the years due to the falling quality. On my most recent visit a few weeks back(I was hungry and felt like something sweet), I ordered the green tea crêpe with green tea ice cream, cream and red beans and I wasn’t too impressed. I found the whole thing a bit too soggy and bland in flavour. In my opinion, the crepes were better back many years ago when this place was still under the management of Ichipan Crepes.

Harajuku is one of those places I just have to take visitors to Melbourne. It’s quirky, different, and all round delicious(if you’re not on a diet). Their creative and sometimes downright scary combinations slapped into a delicious crêpe make a fantastic late-night treat after a movie or on the way home from dinner. Unfortunately they’re not open all night, as I seem to forget every time I wanter past at 3AM craving crêpe. Prices are a bit on the expensive side for what you get, but worth it as a treat every so often.

The display at Harajuku Crepes is hands down the spiffiest among all the eateries in Melbourne, and I want to hear from anyone who would challenge that claim. Some of the crepes themselves are kind of meh, like the apple cinnamon, but anything with Nutella you know is going to be delicious, and the presentation is just lovely, not to mention the funky seating. A lot of the combinations are repetitive, so don’t feel obligated to try every single thing, but if nothing else just check out their display and take a deep whiff. I’ll be bummed out if Harajukus start popping up everywhere, but in the meantime, they’re a positively delightful addition to Melbourne Central.

Great little place to go to after a big meal, and is in needing of some desert, I love the sweet crapes here, but I prefer to have cream instead of ice cream on mine. It is definitely a place to hang out if you don’t drink coffee.

Now I don’t know exactly how Japanese crepes actually are, but that’s part of the charm of the place. Apparently, these sorts of crêpe places are all the rage in Japan. It’s been nearly 20 years since I visited Japan briefly, and I don’t remember them then. Either way, I just can’t go past a crêpe place without checking it out. Oh my god, this place is great! I’m a pretty simple guy, so I usually grab a nutella crêpe. If you haven’t tried it, you need to give it a go as soon as possible. It’s a very cool shop. If you’ve got kids, they’ll absolutely love the place. Check it out.

I’d probably need to give Harajuku three stars just for how cute the shop is, the colours and sign, the bright displays of sweet goodness viewable as you walk by. It’s what caught my daughters attention as we were going shopping in Melbourne Central one day. I love it so much here because it allows my daughter and I to engage in the greatest fun we can have together with food. It feels like we’re entering a Japanese candy store with the décor, and its enjoyable to watch as the staff make your crêpe right in front of you. As Clarissa says, there is such a wide variety of toppings and extras to go with your crêpe, it’s like Cold Rock ice-cream but instead of ice-cream they use crepes! My daughter started with the Brownie Deluxe(brownie slice, strawberry, cream and chocolate topping. She now loves going in to order her own ‘special’ one; with brownie slice, cream and topping(I know right!) I haven’t been able to go past the Cheesecake Deluxe(cheesecake, blueberry, strawberry, cream and choc topping). Makes me feel guilty when I see it in writing! They’re perhaps not as big as you’d expect, but they don’t need to be — with all the sugary sweetness I find it hard to get through the size they are now. A great treat — especially if you’re enjoying it with someone who loves it as much as my daughter!

If you’re in need of some yummy dessert at or around Melbourne Central, Harajuku Crepes should be your go-to spot. Hands down. Atmosphere: The place itself is quite small and cramped with very limited outdoor seating, so unless you get lucky it’ll probably be best taking your crêpe on the go. The décor though, is ADORABLE. They have plastic model displays of all their crepes on offer on the walls labeled with ingredients as well. This is pretty helpful visualisation before you order and can help you make the right decision! Customer Service: Nothing amazing, but the crepes come out decently quickly. They have 3 hot plates so the only time you’d be waiting a while is if there is a massive queue. Food: The only downside is that the crepes are quite small, however cheap so it’s still worth the money. The ingredients they use are fresh and tasty and with the variety of options, it’s highly unlikely that you won’t find something that makes your mouth water. Ways to improve: ~ Sometimes they leave the hot crêpe pancake sitting there for a while before moving to the ingredients. What ends up happening is that the pancake tastes a bit rubbery and not fresh. Don’t make the pancake unless you’re ready to prepare the ingredients as well! I would definitely come here again and try out all their different crepes!
