I love the name of this place, reminds me of the martial arts series ‘Lucky Stars’. Sadly I don’t think Jackie Chan would dine here when there are much better places for Chinese around Adelaide.
Pretty good for some cheap, gluey, unhealthy Chinese grub. I’d search for better pastures if you want a brighter dining experience.

There’ s nothing fancy about Lucky Star Chinese Restaurant. The food, the atmosphere, the price. It’s not blow-​your-​mind amazing, it’s just old fashioned and simple.
I’ve eaten in once or twice, and while the restaurant itself is pretty big, to be honest this place is made for take away or home delivery. The staff are lovely and service is fast, the food is fine for the price, if a little on the greasy side.
You can definitely get cheaper, tastier and more atmospheric dining on Gouger, but if you’re after a quick, easy, no bells and whistles take away or delivery in the Norwood area, you won’t be disappointed.

Lucky Star is a friendly little restaurant on Magill Road.
It is quite a big restaurant with large tables to service big groups of people, however, more often than not those tables seem to be empty. It is certainly not the most glamorous restaurant in town, and the food is nothing to write home about, but the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant.
I have dined in here, however I usually make use of their take away services. Service is extremely quick, and the food is greasy, but fairly edible. It’s appears to primarily cater to those hungry, hungover or in a rush needing a quick hit of Chinese food, and any Chinese food will do.
Complementary prawn crackers are on offer, which gives you something to much on while waiting for your takeaway.
