Except no frills and just totally delicious food. Penang looks like nothing and if you didn’t know better, you’d just walk past. I’m a fan of the laksa lemak. A delicious mix that makes me wonder how many hours it will be on the treadmill to run off. A big fan, that goes back as much as possible. Cash only.

Penang Coffee House remains one of the longer standing eateries in the area and clearly a favourite with the locals. Aside from Penang Affair on brunswick street which is no longer. this place has now been bumped up to number my one spot for Malaysian cuisine. The Laksa’s and the Nasi Padang are my top picks so far, however I could easily spend all day ordering and sharing dishes from the menu. The wait staff are reasonably attentive and the food is generally brought out without haste.
