We were taken to this place because the Thai place at the Marina is apparently no good — and we were pleasantly surprised. Phuket Thai has great mild-to-spicy food in a quietish ambience with good attentive service. The food is your typical Australianised Thai food but to be honest you are not going to get an authentic Thai experience south of Darwin… so don’t stress out!

Tu valoración: 3 Adelaide, Australia
I’ve only tried this place the once, and although I’m only giving it three stars, it wasn’t because I didn’t enjoy the food. Because I did. In my opinion, the red beef curry that I had here was one of the better renditions of that particular dish that I’ve had in Adelaide. I thought the flavours were pretty close to being spot on, and I was also quite happy with the price. I mean, it’s not a cheap night out, but it’s not unreasonable either. The other dishes we had were alright, but not amazing. They weren’t ridiculously off the mark, I just wasn’t overly impressed. The let down was that service was on the slow side and it was really very noisy. It’s possible that it was just the night that I was there, but that’s my experience, so take it with a grain of salt. I’d happily grab takeaway from here though.

A Glenelg institution at the western end of Jetty Road. Good trad menu, their satays and larp are highlights. Good drinks list. Casual dining — be sure to book on weekends
