I was charmed from my very first visit to Sonoma. Upon entering the door and asking about the pastries I was asked«Are you from America?» when I replied«Yes, I’m from California» the immediate follow up was«Are you from Sonoma?» I wish I could have replied positively but sadly I do not share provenance with this amazing bakery. Here are the top two reasons why this place is so good. First off, let me say that I am truly addicted to their Morning Buns. It is the perfect cinnamon roll with a delightful hint of orange which just sets it apart from all else out there. Second, I have a high standard for sourdough and Sonoma meets it. When I lived in Singapore and could not find decent sourdough I took to making my own. Now here in Glebe I can relax because the Sonoma Polenta Sourdough is so amazing. Funny story, when walking around in Northern California near Sonoma we met up with a guy who did the artwork for this bakery. Small world right? Or maybe great bread just brings everyone together.
